What?! Remote on Peragus II?!

Recommended Posts

During playing Peragus, I was at the part where the player is about to go into the central droid controller. During a dialogue on the comlink with Atton, you can ask about "little sensor balls", which are matience droids. It shows one in combat, and then it shows Bao-Dur's Remote. Could the Remote be the same as a matience droid? If this is a stupid question, go ahead and say.

I've got a screenshot attached too.

The picture on the left in the boxed white is what a matience droid looks like and the main picture is Bao-Dur's Remote just kind of standing there like it's surveying me.

Both Remote and that Maintanence Droid are of the same type of 'droid/robot' and specialise in repairing. The Peragus II Droid is not Remote, but ... wait, now that I actually see that picture, I don't know what to say.

Nevermind, I have not seen one like that... perhaps I never got close enough but I don't think that's supposed to happen... :/

The same? No, not really.  As the story progresses the Remote will get more powerful thanks to Bao-Dur's tinkering. It can also fire lasers, unlike matinence droids, and can not be killed. They might be the same model, though.

Actually, it can but it'll be up and running... err.. hovering when you transition to a new area.

Bugs? Klingon Software does not have 'Bugs'. It has FEATURES and they are too sophisticated for a Romulan pig like you to understand!

HK-47: "Recitation: First, weapon selection is critical. If I see one more idiot attacking a Jedi with a blaster pistol, then I'll kill them myself."

HK-47: "Answer: Select grenades, sonic screamers, cluster rockets and plasma charges. Mines are also effective, since many Jedi will run to meet you in hand to hand combat. Silly Jedi."

Funny how you can see something while playing and never really see it. I've seen that bit a dozen times and it never registered that it was the same graphic as Bao's. :)

I would settle for theories that Bao-Dur is part of some kind of "Big Brother is Watching You" project where he sends his Remote to stalk the General because's either sick or madly in love with her... :ermm:

If I remember right, I think Bao-Dur gave the remote a neat ability to heal the droids in your party. It happened one of the times that I re-entered the Ebon Hawk. He also gives the droid a laser advancement.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

What do u mean it can't be killed...that thing gets killed so easy on mal 5 its pathetic...and it has no firing power so Im basically running as fast as I can past the storm beasts and etc. while I get the parts beggin to survive...I hate that part of malachor

Yeah. It may have been my least favorite part of the entire game. Since you have to fill in the blanks on what happens with Goto, just pretend Remote is saving up all his awesome fighting skills, cleaverly hidden during the entire game, to unleash on Goto. We just don't get to see it because, even though it is droid vs droid, the butt kicking Goto receives is so brutal they had to cut it to keep a teen rating.

Makes the whole mad dash for parts more tolerable.
