BURN THE HERETIC

So...why was POR2 so great then? TOEE had much better TB combat IMHO - even if it wasn't always well balanced.

Best D&D game ever?

Well, let the sig and av speak for themselves :p

Japanese tentacle monster rpg?

POR2 was GREAT. The mere fact that you're even questioning this just accentuates that you don't know what you're talking about. Best game of 2001, bar none. Heck, possibly the best RPG in the last decade too.

The story was just so.... beautiful. The ending was touching. I... cried.

LOL - there's a fine line between taking the p*ss and being too subtle, you know.

I must admit I cried tears of joy when it was all over - because I could now uninstall it and never bother with it again.

Woo, someone else voted for my favourite classic! Good to know there's at least ONE other sane person out there! :(

Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

I would have to say the Wizardry series was my favourite D&D type CRPG. Wizardry 8 was a lot of fun.

Best Combat:

Temple of Elemental Evil

Best Old-School:

Ravenloft - Stone Prophet

Best Story:

Planescape: Torment

Most Fun:

Icewind Dale + Heart of Winter + Trials of the Luremaster

It's kinda ironic that Torment is voted as best DnD CRPG in this poll, although the game that felt least like your typical DnD game. :)

Sentimentality.

"Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque

"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)

our favorite game were ps:t, but ps:t were busted. Had great story, but were lacking in so many other areas.

bg2 were the best d&d game

"If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."Justice Louis Brandeis, Concurring, Whitney v. California, 274 U.S. 357 (1927)

"Im indifferent to almost any murder as long as it doesn't affect me or mine."--Gfted1 (September 30, 2019)

our favorite game were ps:t...

...in 4+ years o' walkin' the same roads, that's the first time I e'er heard ya say that, Grom...kinda surprises me, really; always had ya pegged as a Shadows of Amn lad...what really worries me, though, be that we's in agreement 'ere... :p

...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...

A long, long time ago, but I can still remember,
How the Trolling used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance",
And maybe we'd be happy for a while.
But then Krackhead left and so did Klown;
Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town.
Bad news on the Front Page,
BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage.
I can't remember if I cried
When I heard that TORN was recently fried,
But sadness touched me deep inside,
The day...Black Isle died.

For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way
