Nur Ab Sal Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 MONKEY ISLAND what a classic! Heck yeah. Those old games never crashed. I still play Civ 2, Conquest of the new world and Transport Tycoon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I still play Heart of China, Dagger of Amon Ra, Daughter of Serpents, Riddle of Master Lu, Eye of the Beholder and Fate of Atlantis - the games of my childhood! God, nothing can beat those old classics in terms of climate! HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.
D.C. Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Wouldn't it be awesome if LucasArts remade Fate of Atlantis.
D.C. Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 What if they just published it and it was done by someone who knows what they're doing. :D Anyway KotOR 2... how 'bout that cut content.
Nur Ab Sal Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 As I said before: I spit on Obsidian lamers. Modder community will take care of cut content like they improved many things in original KOTOR... HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Its not just Obsidian's fault, Nurie. The lion's share belongs to KotOR 2's publisher.
Nur Ab Sal Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I know but they agreed on this and worse - they knew from the beginning that this game will be flawed and they will never polish it in time. Yet they were continously lying to us about "how great TSL is going to be". I can't forget this (despite all my hatred toward LA and microshaft). HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. D.C. Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Yeah, I respect Obisidan. KotOR is an awesome game with a great, mysterious, dark story. It was just rushed slightly. People only want this cut content cause it would make an awesome game even more awesome and satisfying.
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 If they didn't agree they would be out of business.
Nur Ab Sal Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Not quite. They were backed by Bioware and had a Black Isle reputation. No these folks would find success sooner or later without LA. I've played all their games since Fallout and lost all my respect after long-waited TSL. HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. D.C. Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Despite being slightly rushed KotOR2 is still worthy of the KOTOR name.
Judge Hades Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 They were not backed by Bioware financially. Also BIS repuation was on the down side since IWD 2. Without KotOR 2 and the contract with LA Obsidian would not exist now.
DarthWeevil Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I know but they agreed on this and worse - they knew from the beginning that this game will be flawed and they will never polish it in time. Yet they were continously lying to us about "how great TSL is going to be". I can't forget this (despite all my hatred toward LA and microshaft). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well yeah, It would kind of be commercial suicide to release a press release saying ' Buy KOTOR2 It will suck ass ' not that i think it sucked ass, just illustrating a point
FaramirK Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Killing Lucas Arts would be good. Killing Obsidian would be bad. Lets give them 3 games first and see if they can make something nice. As far as LucasArts is concerned they have only published 2 games I consider decent and made nothing that I would play. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. They deserve three chances.
