The Guildmaster Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I'm pleased to announce that the upgrade to the forum software was a success, and opens a whole bunch of new functionality. New features include: - Collapsable forums: Don't want to see forums you never visit? Now you can. Simply click the [-] in the top right of any forum to hide it. - Ignore a user: You can now ignore other user's posts. - MultiQuote. There's a "QUOTE+" button to the bottom right of your post area (next to the "up" arrow) when viewing a topic. Clicking on this will turn the button red and when you next hit "Add Reply", the clicked posts will be added to the post window as quotes! You can click again to turn them off and this feature works across pages, posts, topics and even forums. (The previous button "QUOTE" has been replaced with "REPLY" -- it's functionality is identical) - Online/Offline indicator: Each post reflects the online status of the user. - Lo-Fi Version: Want to browse the boards on a PDA? Just click the Lo-Fi Version link at the bottom of the page for a text online version of the forums. - Many skin tweaks. - Two new topic views, an enhanced 'threaded' mode that's less cumbersome, and a linear+ mode which makes keeping track of topics easier. ... and many other new features! If you should run into any problems, please PM me and we'll get that taken care of. Thanks, The Guildmaster
Phosphor Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Why were the member numbers removed? I liked that we had numbers, it was kind of Prisoner like
Darque Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 It looks really nice I don't like the fact it shows me "online and offline" though, I don't like being monitored
zer"0" Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Good stuff I too liked the numbers. Still..no biggie.
Qliphoth Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Certainly works for me, though the validation key e-mail that didn't get used managed to throw me for a momentary loop. Love the options.
Phosphor Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 It looks really nice I don't like the fact it shows me "online and offline" though, I don't like being monitored <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can choose to log in as "invisible" at the log in screen.
Iolo Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 There still isn't a way to delete your own posts though. If noone has responded to a post of yours, you should be able to delete it.
Darque Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Why? If you didn't want to post it, why post it to begin with?
Alexia Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Am I the only one with a custom title instead of a level number? Le donne sono da venus, la scopata sa dove sono gli uomini da. For a different kind of Kotor chat
Darque Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Until other people start adding them... probably. Edit: nope... not anymore.
mkreku Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Is it just me or did all the custom titles disappear? I know mine did, and I can't find the place where I used to find it anymore.. I want it back!! Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
newc0253 Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 huh, i raised this elsewhere and then found this thread: what gives with the loss of custom titles?? dumber than a bag of hammers
EnderAndrew Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 What's the font you used for your sig graphic? Is that the Never Winter Nights font? Either way, I rather dig it.
