Grandpa Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I hadn't seen this topic come up yet, so I thought I'd put it out there. If you have one, what is your favorite Star Wars parody? I would have to say that mine is probably the original: Hardware Wars. You can choose your download HERE. I first saw it around 1978. My uncle had recently gotten cable, HBO was fledgling, and this came on before a movie we were going to watch. We were rofl.
Whitemithrandir Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Space balls. Most DEFINITELY space balls. Word economics To express my vast wisdom I speak in haiku's.
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 lol Space Balls is all I've seen so ya.. SB....
Grandpa Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Spaceballs is definitely number 2! Hardware Wars does that nostalgia thing for me as well...so it wins.
BetaSquad Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I think that the Star Wars Ganster Rap deserves an honorable mention at least. For those who haven't seen it, here is a link: http://www.nerdie.com/starwars.html "I'm waiting for someone to say something really stupid, and then I can quote them." -Anonymous
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I once saw a video of an overwieght 'stereotypical D&D SW fan computer geek' kid swinging a broom handle all crazy going "whosh bzzzzzzz' and going crazy.. It was seriously HILARIOUS.. I think that was the best actually now that I think of it. I'll look for the link.. I was seriously laughing until a cry when he fell over swinging it too hard.. lol
BetaSquad Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I remember seeing that to. It was seriously funny, but I wouldn't say it was the best ever. It's weird, I remember seeing it once, but I can't remember where...strange. "I'm waiting for someone to say something really stupid, and then I can quote them." -Anonymous
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 same^ I'll have to ask the person who sent me the link sometime and get it up on this thread.
Phosphor Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Hardware Wars was the first thing that jumped into my head upon seeing the title of this thread. Spaceballs is also of course brilliant. One of my absolute favourites though is the Star Wars Macbeth. Some high school kids made it for an English class project, setting Macbeth as Star Wars. Really well done, too.
Phosphor Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 same^ I'll have to ask the person who sent me the link sometime and get it up on this thread. http://www.jedimaster.net/ And if you don't like that link, just Google "Star Wars Kid" and you'll get many options of locations at which to watch your favourite internet geek.
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 ya that was it! LMFAO!!!!!!!! But it doesnt work lol here we go http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/swk.php
Phosphor Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 He's a Canadian hero and an exemplar of our national identity. Also the reason we don't need a big military. If anyone invades, we just send him with his mad Jedi skillz to wipe out the enemy.
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 LMAO one thing I notice about Canadians is they seem to always know who is Canadian and have much pride. Heck I even have Canadian pride and Im not Canadian. lol
Phosphor Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Well, we have to keep tabs on each other so when The Plan is activated, we all know where each other are. Will make things run more smoothly.
Dr. Lobotomy Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Spaceballs is a shoe-in. Honorable mention to Galaxina It's so atrociously bad and retarded that it's funny. All sci-fi spaceships should have a perpetually stoned chinese old man in the engine room.
