Bokishi Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Or is this journey for the experienced only? Current 3DMark
GhostofAnakin Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 It'll attract just as many "new" fans as KOTOR did to attract fans. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
Bokishi Posted September 27, 2004 Author Posted September 27, 2004 I think it depends on how much reference there is to the first one. Newcomers won't appreciate the cameos from KOTOR I characters, nor a Revan appearence. Current 3DMark
GhostofAnakin Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I don't think so. I mean, KOTOR was popular even though no one knew what it was about (until they played it), so I think new fans will approach TSL the same way. Every gamer in the world has heard of or played Kotor1, thus new fans != possible. End of thread. Being held down by the MAN!

Naso Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Well it was extremely popular so likely has a rather large base already, and then considering that it's now pretty cheap, people'll likely pick the first one up before they shell out 50 for the second one

Newcomers won't appreciate the cameos from KOTOR I characters, nor a Revan appearence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think newcomers would really care that much about a few cameos. It certainly wouldn't dissuade them from buying the game.
rika Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I think since Kotor 1 made such an impact, TSL should attract many curious new gamers. I think newcomers would take TSL as it is and possibly the cameos from the old characters would prompt them to buy Kotor 1 to find out more about the characters.
Darth Ni Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 I think it will attract some new fans though i doubt there are many who have not heard of the game. Second of all, why is PalpaTANG still posting on this forum?

Laozi Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 I just get the idea that he's 12 and doesn't really have to worry about it. Either that or hes 35 traped in a lovless marrige and just acting out the only way he know how It like when he did that link "joke" and then tried to tell everyone that "people" thought he was funny People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
