aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I own both platforms (as many of you probably do). I own KOTOR I on xbox, and have no real complaints about playing it on that system. However, my pc is a monster of a machine. I know that you can get better sound and graphics outta a PC... but since I already own the first on xbox, it would be cool to add the second to the collection. Has anyone played both, and do you have any reasons to go with one over the other... other than sound and graphics?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 How does this belong on the suggestions forum?
aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 1) you are giving me a suggestion 2) I looked for a more relevant place for it... couldn't find it... so whent with this. If the mod's wanna delete it... fine with me... so long as I get my answer first.
aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 Where's the neither option? so... if not on pc and not on xbox... what system are you planning on playing it on?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Actually, this a forum for suggestions to Obsidian, not you... Plus, this should've gone in General Discussion... EDIT: He's probably not going to play it...
Judge Hades Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Where's the neither option? so... if not on pc and not on xbox... what system are you planning on playing it on? None.
Judge Hades Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I am a nihilistic gamer. All my characters self destruct in a pointless manner, and occasionally run into walls.
aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 takes all kinds... takes all kinds... anyone else with a platform suggestion for me?
aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 absolutely not. My love for Nintendo diminished after the Super Nintendo... and was 100% completely relinquished with their latest Legend of Zelda releases. God... those graphics... shudder..... BLAHHHHHHH
Ratamacue Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 If you have a relatively fast PC, then buy it for PC. If not, buy it on Xbox. Myself, I don't own any consoles other than NES and Sega Genesis, so I don't really have a choice.
aggiekevin Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 well... as you can read from above... my computer is fast... fast enough to max this game out anyway and still be running programs in the back. But what I want to know is what advantages (OTHER THAN SOUND AND GRAPHICS) the pc has over xbox... or vice versa.
Ratamacue Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Neither one really has an advantage other than the fact that with an Xbox, you can go sit on the couch and play or whatever. KOTOR2 will probably be virtually identical for both Xbox and PC as they're being released simultaneously as opposed to the later PC release for the original game. Really, it boils down to personal preference of platform. I don't really like consoles all that much, which is why I don't own an Xbox or PS2.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 My PC isn't really much of a monster, and I have an Xbox, so I got it on Xbox, I think it's more comfortable, mainly because my couch is better than my chair...

I've had my computer chair long enough to have it molded to my ass, and that's all that matters. B)
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Mine's starting to...but somebody messed it up...kind of like that Simpsons episode...
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I'd buy it for Xbox unless it has something way cooler on PC. An RPG while layin down is chill. I always like playing games better on my bed/futon with Xbox compared to at a comp desk in a half broken crappy chair.. lol.

PC HAS NO BUGS BUT IN THE XBOX VERSION THERE IS THE GD AND ITEM DUPLICATE BUT IN THE PC VERSION I THINK THERE IS CHEAT CODES AND DOWNLOADABLE EXTRAS, AND FOR PC YOU GET YAVIN STATION FOR FREE. "Your total disregard for the law and human decency both disgusts me and touches my heart. Bless you, sir." "Soilent Green is people. This guy's just a homeless heroin junkie who got in a internet caf
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 all caps is straining to my eyes... I guess PC gets patches quicker, and probably has better gfx since monitors are ussually better than TVs.. So PC may be the way to go.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Please turn your caps lock off...please...
icebox15 Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 PC HAS NO BUGS BUT IN THE XBOX VERSION THERE IS THE GD I assume you mean Galaxy Droid, but you say it like it's a bad thing. <_<
