Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 That would also be a good idea. I wanted all the skills to be useful, so that it seemsd that you were specializing, rather than picking the only logical choices. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 You'll probably get more mileage out of your characters skills and abilities.
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 That would be good. I always felt that my progress was somewhat stifled by lack of available quality skills. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Ditto sometimes the other characters slowed you down, also skills didn't mean a whole lot. From what I hear you can get more use out of your skills thus being able to use each class of charcter more
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 That would be good. In KOTOR, we each just found what configuration suited us, and used it for the rest of the game, rather than having a variety. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Sounds like every class is still going to have its own special ability but also giving you the ability to be well rounded
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Good. Personally, after you got your 4 Jedi Characters in KOTOR, there wasn't any reason to use any other characters. No variety. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Yeah the trio of Jedi was pretty unbeatable but after you got to a certain level you really didn't need them eather.
DarthShad Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Let us hope the devs will let us use the npc's in your party for certains tasks. Reaparing HK-47 comes to mind. You had T3 with excellent repairs skill, but you couldn't use its abilities to repair HK.
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Awesome. What about the Ebon Hawk getting damaged everytime sith fighters found you. Could have used T3 there to help repair the ship or at lest been able to repair the ship at any given space port a cool addition maybe Instead damage just piling on every time you get in a dog fight
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Yes, you should be able to work as a team, rather than having to do everything yourself, with the PC. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Yes a team effort would be nice. Though I like the Idea of being a superior charachter each team member should have special qualities that they can use to help you in your quest rather than just follow you around.
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Yes a team effort would be nice. Though I like the Idea of being a superior charachter each team member should have special qualities that they can use to help you in your quest rather than just follow you around. My sentiments exactly! "You shall not pass!"
Zabrak Maul Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I liked havin a superSith a kickin trash without any other npcs
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 If they all have special abilities I wander what they are and who they belong to any suggestions
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 I liked havin a superSith a kickin trash without any other npcs Um, okay. I preferred having a very strong PC, but having a need for the NPCs to do other tasks. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 ditto they should all have a special quality and be an important part of your quest
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Hmm Scouts should have better sight, so they should hit more accurately, but do less damage than say, a soldier would. The soldier would do more damage, but be less accurate. "You shall not pass!"
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 I always thought the Scoundrel's back stab and luck abilities were good. maybe they could expand on those a little bit. maybe a boost to persuade or stealth... "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 The last game I played as a scoundrel I had 18 persuade full armor capacity and master two weapon fighting sort of a backward scoundrel. Maybe it will take less time to get level ups this time around.
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Since there may not be a level limit, it could be almost infinite progress! Well, not quite, but you get the idea. "You shall not pass!"
Wraith Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Yes it would be great to have no cap and a way earn experiance continually. Intergalactic dualing like on taris or earn experiance from swoop racing or playing pazaak.
Darth_Gandalf Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 well, i don't know about pazaak... "You shall not pass!"
