June 15, 200421 yr I'm not saying all the classes should be allowed to, or even all the characters. I think that it could be a good addition to allow maybe the Guardian class, or even a certain party member to wield a melee and ranged weapon at the same time.
June 15, 200421 yr I like the idea of mixed dual wielding, no doubt. I can imagine some very stylish melee / blaster combo attack animations--a sweeping backhand slash / spin, quickly followed by a pointblank blaster shot through your enemy's defenses still tied up defending the melee blow, for example. Unfortunately, I seem to remember one of the devs (Akari, I think) saying that mixed dual wielding wasn't going to happen though. Can't find the post at the moment, mind you, so I might be remembering wrong, but I doubt we'll see it implemented.
June 15, 200421 yr I thought of this too, I just thought there'd be no way to convince them to do it, though, I am begining to worry about the lack of ambition the devs have shown... Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (

Yes, i remember it was scrapped because Akari said somthing in the lines of it would give the animators nightmares... June 15, 200421 yr That sounds like an interesting combination , although I favor the lightsabers and have never used a single blaster in Kotor;always the swords & vibroblades until I got my saber. It's a Jedi thing I guess. :D

July 13, 200421 yr If it is, it should be feat, not class, based. Also D20 forbids it I think. Not sure though. Besides, I can see it as INSANELY OVERPOWERED.
July 13, 200421 yr I think I'll stick to the lightsaber/sword method. I'm not much of a blaster lover.

July 13, 200421 yr Stand back, block/reflect with saber, kill with gun. YOu can have saber defense and shoot at the same time.
July 13, 200421 yr Yes but you will have to attack, the engine won't let you just attack with one hand so you will have to run into melee range.
July 13, 200421 yr Are you sure abou that? One reason it would be hard is they need to redesign the engine for it. Just to rapid shot. And it will work.
