Dereth Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Anyone have any idea why I'm no longer able to create new files on windows explorer? Here's what my menu looks like...
Weiser_Cain Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 I think this has something to do with your registry being screwed. This would be a pergect tech-tv question... Google search for right click menu and you should get some nice results. I'd just reinstal... Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
Judge Hades Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Check for viruses and spyware. That often knocks IE out of wrack.
Arkan Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Check for viruses and spyware. That often knocks IE out of wrack. It's not IE it's WE "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
Adria Teksuni Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 IE and WE are integrally tied together. If something's wrong with IE, it can cause all KINDS of weird screw ups on your computer. Once my desktop wouldn't load due to an error, and I had to go back, download and install IE 4 then go back and get the latest IE just to fix it. What a pain. Never assume malice when stupidity is to blame.
Dereth Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 Thanks for the help guys! I just updated IE and it gave back the option to make new folders! You never realize how much you need something until you lose it.
EnderAndrew Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Download Spybot Search and Destroy, Lavasoft Adaware, a good HOSTS file and some anti-virus software. No computer with a net connection should be without these. I also recommend a browser with built-in pop-up blocking.
