On the "Installation" tab uncheck "Automatically update to the newest version" Select the "3.07.0.1318" from the list and click ok. The game will reinstall the older version. 1

Don't think there's an equivalent for other platforms though Yeah, I'm on GoG. I was looking for a feature like that, but there seems to be none. I'm now realising that I may have come off a bit too harshly yesterday, I came home after a long day, got the sudden urge to replay one of my all-time favourite classics that I occasionally come back to every 1 or 2 years, and was genuinely upset when I finished downloading and found out that my preferred way of playing it has become entirely impossible. Hell, even the torrents weren't of much help, all the ones with any seeds were of the wrong versions as well. I think I'll jump into the sequel instead, I don't like the story as much, but it's still a fun game to waste the weekend with. Still, I was going through the patch notes and I'm a little surprised to see no change being made to dank spores. I always thought that the fact that they completely bypass any will check on the dominate ability tied to their attacks and instead just use the attack roll itself as a check was a bug that just never got fixed. Is that just an intended feature?

Sorry, I've just made the error as old as forums themselves and missed another page of the discussion. I'll give that a shot, thank you, you're a life-saver 1
Maeldun Posted July 4 Posted July 4 After so many years I try to play this game and yet still, Pillars of Eternity - Not Responding During level up screen game causes computer to completely freeze. Even after so many reports over so many years, no other game or application is this egregious in its misuse of computer resources.
cstanick Posted July 10 Author Posted July 10 If you possess a save game that will not load on 3.7.1.1411 or later, due to it being created with DLC you did not purchase, please send us a support ticket along with your GOG or Steam username and a copy of a save game that has the issue (if multiple saves are affected, you only need to send 1 so we can verify). Obsidian Support Save file location: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity\ Sorry for this issue the last two patches caused!
Tomcraft Posted July 10 Posted July 10 When porting to a new version of the engine, the water shader changed. In the location "Raedric's Hold" the water now does not correspond to the description (A heavy strench rises from the stagnant waters), which immediately catches the eye. Give Redrik his water back, he’s worried. 1
NCarver Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Hey folks, please reach out to support as Chris mentioned above if you are unable to see your save due to not owning the DLC, but having had it included in your save game. We have keys to provide you free access to the DLC as compensation and that will also resolve the issue and allow you to continue playing on the latest patches. You can also swap to the "prev_update" public branch on Steam and you should be able to see your saves and continue playing while awaiting a response from support. Also, for those that have seen some items missing, please check if you have installed the free Deadfire DLC pack. If not, installing that DLC should fix your issue.
The Mad Engineer Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Forgive me if this isn't the place for this post, as I don't think the "Beta Patch" forum for PoE would suffice for this. I've got two bugs that need to be ironed out so far. First up are the conversation banters that play between companions when they're in your party, and you enter a location. The banter plays; however, much of the voiced dialogue/conversation is cutoff or chopped for part of the conversation. I know for a fact that this should not be happening. I'll give you examples: Hiravias - Has never voiced his line when he's in the party, and the party first enters The Salty Mast in Ondra's Gift in Defiance Bay. Every other companion fully voices their line. Kana - Let's drop the subject. (Most of the banter quote is broken. "Let's drop the subject." is the only part of Kana's line that's voiced. The rest of Kana's banter conversation with Hiravias is voiced for this topic. "...You're right, it's a very personal question." is the part that is unvoiced. It should be voiced. Kana - "In Takowa we have a memorial for the Saint's War. ..." This part of his banter with Durance is unvoiced. Bug? Pallegina - "Well, feathers in my case, but I understand your point." The word "Well" is not voiced and it should be. The rest of the full banter conversation between Pallegina and Eder is voiced. I'm currently keeping on the lookout for other instances of this happening with other companion banter. And yes, this is all happening on patch v3.7.1.1411, and mods are not involved. The second issue is a stuttering/slow down problem in Defiance Bay. Even as stable as the game is, and as advanced as my settings/hardware is, the game seems to stutter/slowdown in heavily populated areas, i.e. Defiance Bay. This doesn't apply to Gilded Vale or Raedric's Hold. It doesn't apply in Stalwart, either. I don't know if this issue will happen in Twin Elms. The game or its engine might have some process intensive stuff going on that's causing this stuttering/slow down in heavily populated cities. It's worth a look, I think. -The Mad Engineer 1
