Suggestions is too vague it seems :)

Not that big a deal now (you only seem to get one off topic post per day) but who knows when the flood may happen ;)

Well, it does say "Post suggestions, questions or comments about our website, forums, or games you'd like to see here!" and I think that's about as clear as can be made, really.

Apparently not clear enough ;)

:)

Maybe you should make the part where they should post about existing games bold, so as to draw attention to it.

The problem with misplaced posts seems to be some peoples attention spans. Place this forum below the actual game forums.

It appears as if people have to read more than 1-2 lines of text, they get confused and just assume their posts gets read if they dump it in the first place with a "Create New Topic" button and the text "Suggestion"

Might filter out some threads that needs moving. Not that it's a lot, but it seems to be what causes them in the first place

I find it to be lazy forum behavior in general. If you're new to a forum, you need to read the forum rules, stickies, and look around before creating new topics.

People who don't want to read any one else's posts, but want to be able to throw in their two cents irk me to a certain extent.

That's why stickies generally don't work. People who post without reading are the ones that need to read first, but won't.

They don't work 100% but I'm sure there are some people who read them. I'm a big fan of stickies.

I don't get along well with stickies. The only one I got here at work is one of those yellow 3m post-its with the text: "I am a yellow post-it" written on it

And thats only because I wanted one too, my team members heve them all over the place.

How about an on-line test that makes you a certified poster ?

Somekind of SAT test that shows, that you've read the FAQ, Guidelines and various stickies before you are allowed to post :p

Not that I would ever pass it, but still...

Break it up. Name one forum "Forum Suggestions and Feedback". Name the other forum "Obisidian Suggestions and Feedback" which would include suggestions for future games as well as feedback that doesn't fit under any other forum.

This forum doesn't get a whole lot of on-topic posts, so I don't know if it needs to be broken up. But I do suggest moving it below or naming it Obsidian Suggestions.

Indeed Obsidian Suggestions might just be the trick
