MetallicFalcon
Would it be better on the fingers to have an option in the "options menu" that lets you run while locking the camera at the same time, with just a right click.(just like holding w + right click) hope that aint confusing... Guest Surlent
Does this concern any game particularly like KotR2 ? You mean locked camera angle, right ?

MetallicFalcon
Sorry guys, im trying not to be confusing because that's just plain annoying. Ill try to make it clear. in SW knights, when you right click the mouse, the camera goes into free look. I get a bug in my game sometimes where when i right click it turns my camera into free look, but it also makes the character run wherever I move the cursor to. Instead of having to pan the camera left and right, you just have to click one button to run and turn with the character ) Sorry again for more confusion...I don't ride the short bus, I just cant explain this the right way. Maria Caliban
I think I know what he's getting at. In Wizardry 8 you press the 'w' button to go forward and if you press down the right mouse button at the same time you can use the mouse to steer. When you release the right mouse button the cursor pops up on the screen again so you can interact with the environment. If you wanted to do the same thing in third person you'd just lock the camera behind the back and the movement of the mouse would turn the character left and right. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
MetallicFalcon
thank you, lol. i just didnt know how to explain it. my overall point is, it would make it way way easy to move around. now maybe all the wtf votes will become the minority. Fardragon
Adding extra control options seems like a sensible idea for those who find the existing contols difficult, so long as it doesn't mean rebuilding the game engine from the ground up. Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
Nameless One
I get a bug in my game sometimes where when i right click it turns my camera into free look, but it also makes the character run wherever I move the cursor to. thought "oh, thats what i wanted all the time. how the hell did i do that"...then i noticed it was just a bug...so, yes i want this as an option speaking of controls: i want to be able to assign two buttons to one action
