diazexmachina Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Hello everyone. A couple of days ago I started a new play-through of Pillars of Eternity, hoping that this time I will be able to finish the game and continue on to Deadfire (I already have a game where I'm roughly at 2/3 of the story, but since I haven't played the game for a year or so I decided to do a fresh start with a new Watcher). Since I like to plan my games I decided to write down some kind of "road map", a rough order by which complete the various acts and quests. For now the order looks like this: Begin Act I Endless Paths of Od Nua 1 Finish Act I Endless Paths of Od Nua 2-3 Begin Act II The White March Part I Endless Paths of Od Nua 4-5 Continue Act II Endless Paths of Od Nua 6-8 Finish Act II Begin Act III Endless Paths of Od Nua 9-11 The White March Part II Endless Paths of Od Nua 12-14 Continue Act III Endless Paths of Od Nua 15 Finish Act III Begin Act IV End What do you think of this? Is there something you would change? Right now I'm about to start Act II, and two questions came to my mind: What's the right time to do The Battle of Yenwood Field? What's the right time to do Siege of Crägholdt? Thank you in advance for your answers and help.
draego Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 lol i think i just answered you on reddit but just in case- i general do siege of cragholdt around your step 14-16. the battle of yenwood maybe around 12-14. there really isnt to wrong an answer its up to you when you feel like doing that stuff. the list seems pretty good. i usually finish endless paths before you have it listed here but spreading it out like you do here is def a better flow for me when i play
diazexmachina Posted March 25, 2020 Author Posted March 25, 2020 Thanks again @draego, your answer is very welcome.

I mean if you go to WM right after starting Act II. If you did some Act-II-leveling it will be fine. I would recommend WM I around lvl 8. Story-wise it doesn't matter much when you do it, just don't push it too far to the end. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
diazexmachina Posted March 25, 2020 Author Posted March 25, 2020 @Boeroer I didn't took into consideration my level at all, I have to admit. Maybe I'll do a few side quests in Defiance Bay before going to the White March, to get at least a couple more levels (I'm currently level 5, I think). 1
mr_raider Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 You can enter WM around level 5, giv or take. I tried doing it fairly early just to get my hands on a particular grimoire. You can clear most maps around level 7-9. I was able to finish the WM main quest around level 11. I think I gained 2 or 3 levels just in WM. There is an optional tough fight you can leave for later, and I suggest you don't trigger the bounties yet. I usually do all the Defiance Bay side quests and leave act 2 unfinished. Before starting WM. The main reward for WM is quite good and very useful
Boeroer Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 For a first time player lvl 5 is pretty low for the initial fight in Stalwart. 2 hours ago, mr_raider said: I usually do all the Defiance Bay side quests and leave act 2 unfinished. diazexmachina Posted March 31, 2020 Author Posted March 31, 2020 Thanks for all the replies guys. I would like another little help from you: could you take a look at this order of play-through and tell me if it makes sense? Also, could you give me a hand adding recommended levels to every major entry? Thank you in advance for your help. Spoiler

Pull the enemies away from the canoneers and do them slowly. After that sneak through russetwood and durgans battery to snag ninagauths black pages
