danielbda Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Hi guys, I've recently started a Deadfire playthrough after beating PoE and importing my save file. In PoE I allowed the Devil to get her revenge and sacrificed her at the pool, which I thought would trigger her Breastplate in Deadfire according to what I had read, that she just had to be dead in PoE. Well it is not appearing. So what I did was to download the Unity Console to get the brute way. But it is not working, and I can't find anything about it. The thing is, I think I deserve that damn armor. The game is only getting fun now that I got past the bull**** (Maje island on PotD) and I can actually see my character improving. I had planned his whole build with the armor in mind, given that he being a Marauder would benefit from the resistance to intelligence affliction and stop hitting Eder. Can someone help?
UltimaLuminaire Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 I don't know where you learned that DoC had to be dead in PoE1. You had to have her spare Harmke, and in her ending card it says she wanders off unsatisfied and is later destroyed in battle. This will flag the armor to be available in Periki's Overlook. The whole deserve thing has nothing to do with anything. You were just told a lie. As for Int resist to stop confusion, you can get by on Svef and, later, Modwyr. Certain foods can also give you immunity (capt banquet, wael's wind). You don't have to rely on any armor for the Int resist. You can also manually set a PoE1 history and use that to create a game file that has the plate. Unity Console should have worked, but if the game doesn't have the item ID for some reason, then it might be an issue of the game not generating the item? I don't recall there ever being a system where items must be spawned into your game before you can get it via the console command, but here we are.
omgFIREBALLS Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Okay, I can't speak for Unity Console. It's separate from the game console... right? It's a mod, right? Anyway, I created a custom history where I sacced Devil of Caroc to the blood pool, and was able to give myself her breastplate with the game console just fine. Disables achievements and all that, yes yes, but anyway. After enabling cheats with iroll20s you just enter GiveItem Breastplate_Armor_U_Devil_of_Caroc_Breastplate and that's it. My Deadfire mods Out With The Good: The mod for tidying up your Deadfire combat tooltip. Waukeen's Berth: Make all your basic purchases at Queen's Berth. Carrying Voice: Wider chanter invocations. What I mean by Unity not working is that the console doesn't pop up. Do you have it with the game's latest patch?
omgFIREBALLS Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 (edited) Yep. Maybe this can help you pop it. The fact you're saying you downloaded it is what has me confused. It's built into the game, although I believe there's also a mod with similar functionality. All you need to do is press the right key on your keyboard, really. I usually switch to English keyboard layout to pop consoles so I don't have to figure out what key it is on my default. I did download the mod. It is so to not lose the achievements. I just want the console for the armor.
