December 1, 20196 yr I mean, I guess that's *sorta* what the South Park people did with their South Park games? Although they're also creatives and took a large stake into writing the games' stories.

Some examples that come to mind of people who did this, with little connection to the gaming industry, are actor Vin Diesel and MLB Pitcher Curt Schilling. Worked out well with the former and nearly bankrupted Rhode Island in the latter, so I'm going to say it is still a pretty high risk investment.
