Citzal's Spirit Lance not working with Monk abilities since Forgotten Sanctum

Hi, I would like to report a bug. Ever since i patched the game with Forgotten Sanctum, my Sage (monk + wizard) equipped with citzal spirit lance is bugged.

 

When I try to use stunning blow or force of anguish on a group of enemies, normally what happens is everyone in the AoE of spirit lance will be stunned / proned.

 

What happens now after the patch, if I use the skills, instead of everyone in the AoE getting damaged + stunned, only the target I have selected is damaged and stunned, while my character is forced in a loop and will keep repeating the stunning blow until either my mortification is 0, the target dies or I miss. There is no recovery between the attacks.

 

Attached is a save file right before a battle, just cast Citzal's Spirit Lance, and then try to use stunning surge / efficient anguish on targets and you'll get an idea what's happening. The output log is right after a battle with the bug. Please fix this asap as my character is built around combining the spirit lance's aoe and monk abilities.

It seems to be a problem with most AoE weapons now. There's a similar bug report for Whispers of the Endless Paths.

Hi, thank you for your time. However, I have tested this on the latest patch (v4.0.1) and the bug is still not resolved.

I believe BMac confirmed in a different thread on the same subject that it'll be fixed in 4.02.

This happens to my Battlemage too (Wizard + Fighter), I was wondering what the hell was going on with my Penetrating Strikes. Mule Kick didn't get stuck in a loop spam, perhaps because the knockup makes the target briefly untargetable? But my Pen. Strike definitely zero recovery loop spammed me out of Discipline quite a few times.
