Say, as far as I know, Firebrand uses whatever weapon focus there is. So one could theoretically take anything one wanted as a backup weapon? Would I really want to take Weapon Focus: Soldier under that circumstance? I could theoretically even put something with a shield there and just switch out of Firebrand if the circumstances need it (probably a bad idea, but still... it's possible).

Yes, that's possible. If you plan to pick Two Handed Style then I would pick any good two hander as backup weapon - weapon focus indeed doesn't matter for Firebrand.

Not sure if there is some trick to it, or if it was changed in a patch after you wrote this guide, but I seem unable to target the Rhymer's Summons skeletons...

Click on the sword symbol in the action bar, then on the skeleton.

Didn't try. But since it's a bug that only affects a small number of players I assume it never got much attention and thus didn't get fixed.

You can use Second Wind of course, but only if your endurance is above 50%. That is not great, but can still buy you time once per encounter.

Ok! I decided to do a patch notes deep dive and…. It’s fixed! 😃

 

 

This can now expand your under 50% life a bit, I think.

I remember I mentioned this bug it in the topic about upcoming patch for PoE1 after the game was ported to newer version of Unity. Other players raported more issues from the past so it looks like some of them were fixed.
