Anyone been able to get that dialogue option to work? I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) that if you get Delver's Row rep to 5 he's supposed to give it to you, but that doesn't seem to work.

I have no qualms killing him, just wondering if it's possible to easily get it at low levels.

Ha - I didn't even know you can get it peacefully. Always attacked him on sight in the last couple of playthroughs (attempts). :)

That's the thing - I'm not sure if you actually can. But there's a dialogue option along the lines of "How much for your dagger?" To which he tells you to piss off and ends the conversation. After a second attempt at asking him the option disappears. I'm sure I read someone claim that they got it off him with Delver's Row +5 but it hasn't worked for me yet, and I can't find the thread where it was mentioned.  :banghead:  Could be there's also quest completion requirements, or could just be a hint at the fact he has a really cool weapon.

I'll try again after I've finished all the Delver's Row quests and see if it's any different. Possibly also Disposition and/or class restricted (there is an Assassin only option when you first meet him - haven't played an Assassin through yet though).

As far as I know if u speak to him as an assassin and tell him that you also are an assassin Rust will tell you that you won't have any need for him then and he disappears. But last time I spoke to him and told him that I am an assassin was in vanilla. Edited by Dorftek

To get the weapon, he must die  :getlost: Most tricky battle in game... He escape when bloodied and never return :/

Possible to kill him at level 7, pickpocket blister bomb and cast xoti's blessed harvest (hit/crit) when he near bloodied, before he escape... (dont attack with melee weapon)

Yeah I've killed him before, that's not the issue. It's just that the game seems to have a non-violent option of obtaining it. And while it's a fun fight mid-high levels, I feel on PotD at low level it'll be a slow, tedious slog. And with over 100 fort I can't see Xoti landing that spell lol.

He escapes because u are supposed to chase after him and kill him in a more difficult encounter with him and 3 buddies of him

When he escapes you simply go to the entrance of the narrows (south east). There you will see him entering the caves. You can follow him into a secret cavern and end the fight there. You don't have to kill him in the first fight and prevent his escape. I think that's nigh impossible with a low level party.
