GoG patch broken

Unable to update with latest patch from GoG

I tried that - now the game won't launch at all.

 

So I'm trying to reinstall without GoG Galaxy (as I did originally) and the installer freezes every time at about 5%.

GoG patch is only ~500MB when it should be over 1GB

I downloaded the patch today at got it was 1.8 gigs and it will not install for me, after 20 mins I went into task manager to find it had stopped responding.  After I stopped it in task manager I got a patch log with errors all through it where it tried to install. 

 

I do not / will not use galaxy (it doesn't like my internet which is satellite and will not download games to it besides I really do not like using clients  unless I have to)
