Hello watchers ! I have this problem with Maia cause i couldn't decide if is should choose Xoti or Maia for my romance option so they were both in my party all the time. I got most approval form both while i was flirting with Xoti but when she approched me after a kiss i said its not a good idea (everything during one chat ). I decided then already that i want to romance Maia but after a while Xoti said she is in love with Maia and Maia said she was in love with Xoti XD Of course i said to both of them to not engage in any kind of romantic realationship and i thought Maia will eventually come to me but... It's like 8 hours of game since the moment and i tried to talk to her, did her personal quest ( EVEN BEFORE XOTI APPROACHED ME ) and did a lot of dead fire comapny quests and ... nothing. I thought i have to wait but Teheku wanted to start a relationship with me and i dont even have the highest approval with him. Is there a place i could go to or some kind of quest that will trigger her romance? I know i have to do some dumb shark meat quest but i am kinda worrying it will not happen after 30 hours of her being in the party... And sugesstions?

So, after recruiting Maia in Neketaka with my ranger, you can talk to her about her brother, and, depending on the import, get some choices concerning his death, which is a nice bit of reactivity. I've also heard there's good reactivity if you sacrificed him, which is a very nice touch. However, in this particular playthrough, Kana died sacrificing himself to stop the Eyeless at the end of the White march expansion. A pretty heroic death, yet there's no way of telling Maia what happened, as there is no import for that particular situation in Deadfire. While I understand that it's not that important a choice to carry over, it still stings that there's no chance to inform Maia of her brother's sacrifice, especially since she's the one to ask for closure and the only other options are to lie, say nothing, or act like he just happened to die at some point with a varying degree of empathy. ̶I̶n̶ ̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶d̶s̶, ̶l̶i̶t̶e̶r̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶u̶n̶p̶l̶a̶y̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ It's nothing game-breaking and won't stop me from enjoying the playthrough, but it's still disheartening for that particular choice to lack impact on said conversation.

Hi everyone! Maybe, somebody has already observed this bug, but nevertheless: when I arrived in Tikawara for the first time, I had Maia in my party. Then I spoke with people on the right side of the map (chieftain, trading post), after that I changed Maia for someone else (Xoti, for example) at the trading post and then went to the kuara house. There begins a cutscene with the natives and Rauataian spy, and Maia interferes and forces me to fight while being out of party. If I arrived at Tikawara without Maia and then add her to my party, there is no cutscene. Actually, even with Maia in my party, I'd like to have an option to shut her up and to resolve the situation in favor of the natives (of course, at the cost of some Maia's disposition, or even losing her from party entirely, no matter).
