Allow us to either customize our backpacks like adding armored bug plates or extra pouches that give us another line of storage or a backpack that auto deploys the dandelion seed after falling a certain height or one that can deploy a dust cloud once you get hit and then has a 1 minuet cool down or one that heals you if you're almost downed but then has like a 5 minuet cool down. you can have it be like finding different types of bags in the backyard similar to how the SCA.B flavor scheme works but for backpacks maybe even get creative with environmental story telling on how the backpack got there like maybe with the dandelion one it can be found snagged on a branch in the hedge but below you can see a human shaped hole in the mud below where the backpack is suppose to be both telling the player someone fell there and letting them know there is something up there. Also maybe give us control of the color of the backpack.

The Outer Worlds 2
DanielPaul89 posted a topic in The Outer Worlds: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Dear Obsidian In response to your fantastic game, please consider my priority list for The Outer World 2. Please please include; Customisation of the SHIP! or possibly the ability to build a ship from scratch!? A Player Home: How about we can terraform a moon and build a settlement/moon base? Implement some of the 'build' software from Grounded? More of ADA! And generally more of everything! More planets, moons, stations - a new star system maybe? Awesome work! Love this game! Everyone boycott Bethesda and all hail Obsidian!! P.S. - Please join forces with CD Project Red and make an epic open-world high fantasy game to rival the burnt out franchise that is The Elder Scrolls? Further suggestions encouraged in the comments..- 6 replies

So have you ever played a game with some really cool spells or spell effects, but felt it didn't quite cater to your need. You can sling a fire arrow or an acid arrow at someone, but you feel an arrow of freezing a lightning arrow would fit your character much better? I would like to see some sort of ability for high level mages (if that is the route they go down) to be able to research and transcribe their very own spell. They could name it and based on how the spell comes about, (buffs, debuffs, AoE, saves etc) changes the spell casting time and the level of the spell. Perhaps it could increase the likeliness of spell failure if you are going a little extreme with your spell design. The recent update including the stretch goal at 2.4 Million, which I am hoping we will meet head on within the next week included weapon creation, customisation and enchantments Which I made a previous topic about, which was wonderful news in my mind. From this I would like to see a spell alteration/creation ability late in the game. Cone of Acid breath perhaps or maybe your magic missiles replaced with extremely angry chickens (for the wild mages out there). I just feel if mages created their own spells and name them after themselves, once you reach the height of your game, you should be able to join them as legends, forever known through the use of their spells. As an after thought, if then you could trade spells with friends and they are mysteriously scribed into scrolls somewhere in your friends game (do the same with weapons) it could be a really nice idea. Sharing a bit of your game world with them, and vice versa.
