Released in 2000. Wow, is it that long ago? These expansions must have blinded me from seeing the old-ness
-
Do I forget games like The Sims or Darwinia...

Oh... but I did get to the point after that personal remark! You think "I put something in his mouth" but it is all in respons of what came out of his is this and many previous topics More than 10 years old. None (except maybe the GTA-concept). And yes; that REALLY takes away the point I tried to make (Companies that can make more than 1 type of games) by being completely irrelevant . Good job! Then why debate with me when stating this...? Yes, I never said it wasn't; BUT I disagree when you said it was I am not avoiding the issue. After all your questions had nothing to do with what I tried to prove AT ALL... See above. And I still think it is a completely random question you are asking here, with absolutely NO connection with my post...

Might be I still don't understand why they should have a license if they don't wan't to please the licence's fans, but just their own fans. If they wanted they could easily spend all the power spend on FO III on ES V or some other new series to please their own fans

Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
@ Jediphile So Jolee didn't kept his marriage hidden. But it does prove that an further attachement, like training Jedi techniques is forbidden. Why would the getting of a child not include? As you also see in Episode III; Anakin says he has to leave the Academy if Padme gets het child... And how could she have had the child before the war if all looks point toward the fact that she met him in combat. And why would she be happy with Revan if he/she has killed her husband? -
Just pointing out what can happen to a company that has made a few games that the fans aren't too happy with... Lol, one thread you cannot save your reasoning, so let's continue in another? Might I also remind you that this is yet another ironic statement (fix that detector!) based on the fact that in every FO III thread Hades tells us how bad First Person FO is and how they are going to "Oblivionise it"... but where is the information that can point to such a conclusion? And thus... only demonstrates that companies CAN make different types of genres instead of only 1. And so new genres where created. And I noted some of these new genres... Don't start ripping examples out of their context Oh, and that means that developers can no longer create for other genres except their root one? Then why does TimeGate make RTS and FPS? Why does Bethesda make Oblvion type games and pirating games? Why does Rockstar make different games than GTA? Why does Gas Powered Games make Hack&Slash and RTS, how can Blizzard make Hack&Slash and RTS and MMORPG? Eh, explain that then?
-
Nope you already told yourself. And DS2 has more "hits" with your reasoning than any other RPG existing of the AD&D rules (and many other) Ofcourse :D
-
Yes. Edit; even better, they made a sequel based upon a competitioners series (Thief/Looking glass) just before they wen't... hmmm...
-
That's what Ion Storm thought when they brought out DX:IW. And they are no longer around here "

The one in your sig? Here you go... just Copy+paste what makes this pic in your "Edit sig"
-
But why buy a license then if you are only going to aim for your own targetgroup again? Why not make an entirely new game so fans of the originals don't go dictating how what and what shouldn't be "Fallout"... If somebody buys the Deus Ex license and make a DX game that is Doom-like FPS do you really think it will improve the market you can sell it to, even if it is ID-software for example?
-
That doesn't makes to much sense. If I buy a lincense of Game X why try to sell it to the audience that likes Y instead of the audience that likes that X?
-
Upload your pic on a fixed adress... Try http://www.imageshack.us EDIT; Oh, and edit is your friend... no need to triple post!

Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1. Yoda saying Luke is too old too train is no excuse. After all Jedi only trained Padawan from very young. Even Skywalker in Episode I (9?) was too old... and Luke was certainly older than 9 2. Jolee did kept his marriage hidden from the Jedi Council and he could be exiled if discovered. Before that could happen she turned on him though, and he exiled himself to Kashyyyk 3. Did Kavar fought then (where did you get that)? Did he also came back engaged and pregnant? :D 4. And when/how could they HAVE exiled Kae if she joined the Wars and never came back? (because: Dead?) 5. Dying in the Mandalorian Wars not quite that good of a proof now is it. I mean, it isn't like there died hundreds of Jedi and thousands of Repulblic Soldiers... Nah... -
UH OHH! MAUL IS COMING AGAIN!!
BattleCookiee replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Necro-posting of a (few) months ain't bad... but a YEAR? If you have to dig that far back for a topic nobody bothers if you make a new thread since it wouldn't be exact a "popular, daily asked" thread... -
Most funny of this all is according to Jediphile Dungeon Siege 2 is MORE OF A RPG than Planescape:Torment If that isn't really ironic if seeing on what game DS2 is based ...
-
Well, since Hades knows so many things about Fallout that we don't, like the fact it WILL use First Person or that it is Morrowind with guns we might give him some credibility, no And I will repeat it once again if a company makes alot of Game X that doesn't mean they can't make game Y. If that was so new genres would have never existed I mean ID was a prof. in making FPS when Wolfenstein came around, no? " And Westwood was a prof. in RTS before Dune2 " Not to mention said Westwood made RTS, Adventures, RPG's and all..., and most were good. How odd for a company mostly specified on C&C RTS...

Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He was padawan during his time at the Academy (under lead of the Exile or atleast close). After the Exile left for the Mandalorian Wars he left the Academy. It is likely that (being the spy/researcher and all) that he gained all the knowledge about the Jedi and such from sniffing in their archives and files etc. And even with this knowledge he cannot know "that a dead person is alive"... especially if even the masters do not even know (nor did they know about Atris, and guess what Ex-Padawan also doesn't know about Atris?)... -
Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But how can ordinary padawan, like Disciple, know then that Revan went to the "last master" who was the first master... if the first master was pretty dead (even if not, for them she was) It wouldn't make sense to say; "Revan teached from Kae first and ended his lessons from Kae, while she was dead" " -
There IS another way to solve this. Download the Kotor Savegame Editor (link in Stickied "Telos Academy Cheat Node Issue") and make sure Kavar is dead (will update this post in a moment with the correct things to set)... Under Globals-Numerics Set 000_Jedi_found to 4 Set 000_Jedi_killed to 3 Set 000_Kavar_dead to 1 Set 000_Last_Jedi_Kill to 3 Under Quests Set Lost Jedi to 55 That seems to be it... good luck EDIT2: After setting this talking to Kreia should give you the "go to Dantooine" convo; and than you're set to go...

Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, you just mentioned a number #1 reason why Kae cannot be Kreia. Kae is presumed dead so how can he return to her for her final lessons then. Answer: He cannot, as the last lessons are from Kreia -
Killed the Queen but not Kavar? That should not be possible... If indeed you haven't killed Kavar during that meet do you have a save from before that battle?
-
Who Kriea actually could be?
BattleCookiee replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But it is also possible that Kae was Revan's last master (besides one)... Nothing there that can prove that wrong. Kae left to join the War, but so did Revan. Maybe he did so right after Kae's training and only had one other just before he went? Edit = Revan ain't the Exile -
Last I checked " " was also an ironic smiley... just like " " "... "my position"... I love that, even if I have no idea what for position you talk about... Just as with archnemessis as Malak " (please notify: Ironic Statement!) So, you just said that Kreia leaves you no choice. Hmmm... There is choice; you just cannot choose it then... :D No. Wouldn't that make it a difference in the INput instead of a difference in the OUTput? I can choose to run past a Diablo enemy and leave him alive " (Irony Warning!) True... that is a choice. But not a choice made at any specific point in the game... It isn't like "Bastila's Unknown world meet" where you can suddenly change the ending (or so you say by saying that all after Kreia is already fixed... haven't completed the game myself so many times as to know if that's true)...
