  1. Oh good lord! Well the cat is out of the bag! We had this cool system where you can level up your car with new software and find new parts similar to Borderlands and guns. Everyone's car looked different. The Hoff started at level 100 of course. In case it is not obvious and I get quoted somewhere and fired, I'm kidding. Still a CarPG would be a very cool thing if done right....
  2. I don't mind the Boston Accents in a game set in Boston. I actually wish more movies and games used local accents, but I think I am pretty alone in that regard. That being said I do wonder how I come across people with Irish accents or Russian accents. I mean those accents have to exist, its only been 200 years or so and those accents have been around far longer than that, but how did they make their way here in a world where Travel like that is very, very hard hard to pull off. I don't mind the access but I want a reasonable explanation as to why it's there.
  3. Apparently radiation gives factions clairvoyance! :D
  4. I wouldn't count us out yet. That new studio could be used for a lot of different things. I'm pretty sure that studio they absorbed helped them develop the mobile app for Fallout 4. Please don't give us false hopes, please... I'm hoping more if not as much as you guys that we get to work on Fallout again!
  5. I have notebooks filled with stuff about an original Vampire/Werewolf world (hard to do nowadays!), told through some alt history that I have always wanted to see the light of day....
  6. She could be lying, I never liked her in Fallout 3 so I wouldn't put it past her.
  7. That being said, you can keep ignoring them. They will just eventually depopulate.

  9. Fallout: Would love to work on this. Especially as we have Tim and Josh here. Bloodlines: Oh yes would love to do this as well! We've worked with Paradox with Pillars so you never know.... NWN: Well we are partnered with Paizo and Pathfinder. So I'm not sure Wizards would let us work on D&D. KOTOR: Disney. Pillars: Obsidian really needed its own IP. Pillars is the perfect IP for us, because it was developed by us. I think Obsidian is committed to growing this. There are two major benefits to this being ours: 1. We can write the story and lore as we see fit and tell exactly the story we want. We are not constrained by another companies input on what we can and cannot do. 2. No licensing needed to make the game. Arcanum: I'm not sure we could. But I would love it and I know of at least one other guy in the office who would as well. Keep in mind, these are my own thoughts and opinions and not Obsidian's!
  10. Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Digital Edition.
  11. The writing seems to be the issue a lot of people have with this game. As for why they are wasting time making synths? My theory is that because: Science! because they can. Look at technology now. Its usually developed in one of two areas: Money or Because they can. Remember when we tried to make phones as small as possible years ago? Man did that flip flop. There are many applications for science and technology that could be used today to help with many issues we have. But we continue to develop in areas where there are huge markets. Or areas that are just cool and the practical application beyond entertainment are limiting. Oh and military tech. So I think they created the synths at first to see if they could. Then hubris enters and you realize you can make these things very life like. You stop wondering why you are doing it and do it to see if you can. At some point your life like creations will help mankind. How? You don't even remember anymore, but they will! In your isolated facility disconnected from the dirty world above you think you are helping but you are only helping yourself feel better and like you are making a difference. Anyway that's what I think about the whole reasoning behind synths. I'm not far into the game yet story wise and I haven't properly allied with a side. Maybe they explain more later. That being said I had my moments fuming at the TV. There are a lot of scenarios where engaging a sit down between factions would have sorted out a lot of problems. Or things I wanted to say to certain faction leaders that I just couldn't say and so war slowly builds. Again I haven't picked a side yet but I have a feeling there is only very violent options. On a side note: Man BoS thanks for being complete jerks this time around. I usually love siding with them when I can but man do they make it as hard as possible to do so this time around.
  12. In case you missed it and wanted one. http://www.gamestop.com/pc/games/fallout-4-pip-boy-edition/122839
  13. I got friends who are really into Super Dungeon Explore. Only played a couple of times myself. Fought that vampire and won, fought the dragon and lost. How is the King? He is a very, very cool Villain. His mechanics are pretty neat. Painting him... is a different matter...
  14. Aw, you're such a tease, ya rat bastard! ...But a hundred hours in I would say you must be enjoying it, unless it really is just research. I am really, really enjoying it. I came in with an open mind and really didn't get on the hype train. I'm of the mind where I would rather be pleasantly surprised than let down because of some manufactured expectations. That being said... there is always room for improvement.
  15. Video Game: Fallout 4. Board Game: Super Dungeon Explore Forgotten King
  16. As I close in on 100 hours played I have close to 40 pages of notes, tweaks, and changes I would love to see in an Obsidian designed Fallout game.
  17. I agree! Obsidian should be allowed to create another Fallout game! I'm a bit biased though.
