  1. Most of them like to be complimented or see you perform a good deed or two. Don't worry though, there are tons of events (and glitches) that will allow you to recover your DS points. If you are about to talk to someone important or about to make an important choice of which faction to join make sure you save. Then you can try different dialogue choices with different party members. You might find 2 or 3 people you can gain or lose influence with during most events. Its your choice who to give the influence to. I suggest Atton, Handmaiden, and Boa-dur because they can all become dark jedi. If your into it for character development I suggest you go with GO-TO, I found his characters story (with the exception of Atton's) to be the most interesting. You'll only ever get a little chunk of experience though. Also Hanarr and HK-47 are good choices because they can permanetly boost your stats. T3 will let you work on him if he likes you letting you boost his stats. Mandalore doesn't seem to give up much and Visas doesn't seem to either, I could be wrong though. I maxed out Visas's influence with nothing to show for it other than her loyalty and had trouble getting influence for Mandalore. Confronting mandalorians on other planets and complimenting him doesn't seem to get you any influence.
  2. Okay, thanks. Thought I'd be able to get them all without any help but I couldn't. I'll take a look at Bao-dur influence events and commit them to memory before I start up my next game.
  3. I'm pretty sure prestige classes have nothing to do with it, I think I got Atton and Handmaiden to become jedi before becoming a Sith Lord. That being said I'm a level 15 consular/ 26 Sith lord, I kept fighting Hsiss on Korriban. As for the sick man, I convinced him to kill himself for the good of everyone else. Are there NO ways to gain influence with Bao-dur after clearing all the planets? I revisited them only to find that I could get lightside points on Nar Shaddar but Boa-dur won't respond. I also found out I can lose influence with him by repairing a droid on Dantooine and killing the guy who confronts you about being a jedi. Does anyone know a way to gain influence with him after beating the planets? I'm saved just before the Onderon War.
  4. I never lost influence with anyone but Kriea and she's now maxed out. Apparently its not enough because the only options I get is to make a lightsaber or 'nevermind'. I don't know what to do so if anyone knows please help me out.
  5. Its a recorded message from Bastilla. Revan asked her to stay at the Sith Academy to await his return but he's been gone too long. Bastilla has decided to leave because the sith students doubt Revan will return and there is rioting and anarchy as many of them try to take his place. Bastilla says they are all too weak and, unlike that schmuk Malak, she'll only ever serve Revan.
  6. Okay I need some help. I heard the best way to get Bao-dur to go Jedi was to have him help repair the landspeeder thing on Nar Shaddar. Unfortunately I blew it off for to long and returned to find it destroyed. I've completed all the planets and I'm heading back to Dxun to help the general overthrow the queen (DS all the way!) Are there anymore oppertunities to gain Bao-dur to make him a DS jedi? I know raiding the Sith's tomb on Dxun can give your character DS points, would giving Bao-dur Ds points help turn him or is only influence a factor? This is all the influence I have on him so far. INFLUENCE GAINED -complemented him at one point/asked if he was okay -found the transmitters on Dantooine -killed someone with Kriea in the party, Bua-dur actually approved -rescued the Mandarlorian on Dxun -helped the Republic spy by giving him a starport visa Might be one or two more events I'm forgetting. I did get a scene saying he was glad to be with me after the visa scene but I haven't gotten any influence since then. Can anyone help me or am I too late in the game?
  7. Metal Gear Solid 3 is pretty good. Alot of sequals to big name games came out, Metriod, Halo 2, Prince of Persia 2, GTA san andraes, etc. Still, KOTOR 2 would be near the top. So far its been a great game, I just hope the ending isn't as rushed as I've heard it is.
  8. Well I wouldn't say its the BEST sequel out there.
  9. If she won't talk to you on the Ebon Hawk stick her in your party and do good deeds in front of her. Eventually you'll find some places where you can gain influence. I just made her a dark jedi today :D I got Atton to convert last night so all I have left is the Irodian (or whatever he is). I've seduced my entire crew completely and utterly and I still haven't visted Korriban or Onederan!
  10. Hmmmmmmmm, that would be cool. I haven't seen the end yet. Still, I have to wonder how you can make a good RPG using the exile again. I actually have this beef with all sequel rpgs that bring back the same characters. I just hate how your guys a powerhouse at the end of the original and when you pick up the sequel you have to start off again as some pissant weakling. How would they explain it? Would the exile lose his ties to the force AGAIN? It would be cool to see the exile return in a future installment but I just can't see how they can do it without dissapointing the player.
  11. You must have big rats (if) you need Hatori Hanzo's steel.
  12. Is that a Hatori Hanzo blade you got there?
  13. When Mira got captured by the squid dude I ran back to the Hawk and found her just standing there looking into space. After my wookie killed her in the battle pit I returned to planets surface and she's still hanging around the port where you first land. Just another little glitch Obsidian probably didn't have time to find and remove before christmas.
  14. I'd like a completely new cast. If it involved characters from previous KOTOR games it would mean this game would have to take place just a few years after KOTOR. Is it just me or would the be a little bit corny? Alots already happened in the past (KOTOR) decade. I'd hate for them to make the third one into some kind of weird soap opera where we're introduced to characters who may or may not have died in previous installments and where the ending of your previous game is ignored. You keep adding games to the series and try to unveil new startling secrets the plot/story is bound to get mucked up and convoluted somewhere. In my KOTOR game Revan and Bastilla took there first steps to taking over the galaxy. When I start up KOTOR 2 I wind up argueing with Atton about Revan's gender, and Kriea informs me Revan just decided to disband the Sith and leave for no apparent reason. Wow, thats deep!!!! I know Obsidian was just trying to write a story that could relate to 'every' ending. That cool, and the did a decent job of it. Yet if they keep setting the KOTOR games around the same time frame the story is going to end up sucking.
  15. Okay, I'm really not sure what to do. I'm an evil SOB but I want as many quests and experience oppertunities as I can get. You can offer to help Atris hunt down Jedi the first time you meet her. I'd like to take the quest but I need to know, will it close any doors for me? I don't want to play another 8 hours to bump into some sith dude looking to hire only to be turned down. Are there any consequences if you agree to help her?
