Oh, Minny has some depth this year. Although Gaborik is down with a slight groin pull, he and Demitra and Kevin Stevens whoever else they play with on the top line is formidable. Some nights its Mark Parrish, others Branko Radivojevic. The difference in this season is that the Wild actually have a great second line. Four year pro Pierre Marc Bouchard is, for lack of a better term, 'bringing it' this season. Pair him with the incredibly talented Brian Rolston and undersized overachiever Todd White, add in a fair bit of chemistry that was created late last season, and you've got the basis for a second line that can hurt you on most given nights. Thirty points between the three of the second line players in ten games, not counting tonight. Not bad for a second line at all. It's actually more than Gaborik and Demitra and half of the rest of Minny's roster combined. Rounding down the rest of the roster, you've got about ten goals a year for Pascal Dupuis, elite checking line center Wes Walz, who has also notched about thirty points a year consistantly in the third line role. Shootout genious Mikku Koivu is only getting better as well. Add in a checking line that features freak of nature Derek Boooogaaard, and there's a little bit of depth going on, I'd say.

It's true, it wasn't pretty. But it counted. And if that's what it takes for Marty Reasoner to get points, so be it. He's earned the easy goals after logging in those hard minutes on the checking line and the PK. edit: despite losing tonight, Minnesota>Colorado
  7. Spliffing it. Good one Laozi. I'm pondering whether or not I want to start rewiring my entertainment system. I bought a new stand yesterday, but the assembly took a little longer than I had planned. Stoopid alan wrench screws.
  8. Hell no! I'd be just about bald then. Actually for that last pic originally I had my bangs pulled down in front so you couldn't see my face. Then I saw my cigarettes as I set the timer for my camera. And you only have to burn the ends of your bangs once to learn the lesson to keep your hair back when around flame... and to stay on topic, I'm putting on my pajamas in a minute or two.
  9. You can add a hoodie, touque and fat ass jacket to the mix. I'm going to see if I can get out of my parking spot.

I was watching that one last night as well. Just plain brutal. Hatcher looks like Cory Cross out there.

Well, my car is hopelessly stuck right now. In its parking space. I tried to leave for work this morning, and managed to back out all of about five feet before I got caught. I'm Canadian, eh, so winter driving is nothing new for me. Neither is being stuck. Nearly every time its happened, however, I've always managed to get myself out without any aid. But this morning, no amount of rocking back and forth or shovelling underneath would help. I called my boss to come help me out, and ten minutes after he arrived we ended up phoning another guy just to help get the damn thing back in its spot. Once I get my car going again, I'm going to clean it out and trade that mofo in for a gas guzzling SUV. edit: we spotted a tree that buckled under the weight of the snow.

It was nice to see the defencemen doing a better job of clearing the zone tonight, that's for sure.

Hey Deraldin, that Malkin and Crosby combo are as good as if not better than any duo paired up in recent history. I think the Pens will be picking up quite a few more wins than anyone expects them to this season. And no seven game losing streak for us!! Way to beat up on a tired Washington team, boys!! We're still perfect at home! Our line changes produced results tonight. Maybe some of the team was getting complacent with each other this early in the season. While I was watching some of the Atlanta/Buffalo game tonight I learned a couple of things. First, Buffalo has twenty one points in eleven games this season. That's freaking incredible. Second, Atlanta is two points behind them after their win tonight.

And it keeps coming down... This is the latest pic of my extravagant view. Notice how the snow piling up on the railing is going to tip soon. That's fun you can't buy in stores, kids. And here's another view of the same, this time through the screen of my kitchen window.

Well, that was as much fun as can be expected. Not suprisingly the roughest part of the voyage was getting in and out of my parking spot. The main roads were okay, while residental areas were slightly poorer. Now if I could just do something about those people in their SUVs' who drive like ****... <_< Oh yeah, pictures. This is what my car looked like when I went downstairs. And after I opened the door to get the snow brush.

It's not really that cold, actually. It's just barely below the freezing mark with a slight wind. I'll try and snap a few pics as I head out.

It's partially covered. I merely opened the door to the deck and stood inside. I'm still in my pyjamas. edit: here's a pic since I can't explain myself very well, LC I need to go to the store. This should be interesting...
