First off, she wasn't a big part of the story in this game so they didn't really focus on her that much. Second, she was with the the Republic fleet, which would be quite a task to take down. And last, chances are she like the other Jedi were in hiding and not considered a threat by the sith. To help answer Ostkant's quetsions The Ebon Hawk probably fell, only to have Atton wake up his lazy self and fly it away, thats just a guess though, they do kind of leave that one without an explanation. Trayus academy is destroyed so no you don't become the leader. Unless you are saying when you beat it you didn't fly away in the Ebon Hawk and watch it blow up, but I wasn't aware that was a possible outcome. All the corpses on Malachor were there because a huge battle was fought there in the Mandalorian War, it never tells you that on a data pad, but Kreia will give you its history. I doubt we will ever know about Nihlus i would kind of wish to know more as well. And Sion is just a guy who more or less a regular sith who fell apart but uses the power of the force to hold himself together. Remember Maw from Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2? Its him with legs more or less.

I suppose it is possible that scenerio is true, a wound could cause someone to succumb to the dark side. From a non story stand point though, it would take away the uniqueness and originality of the exile if Bastila was supposed to be the same way. It sounded to me like this was supposed to be a rare and unique event. We could of course argue that it is true, but it would take away the originality of the Exile if it really was.

If I recall it was the Exile who followed Revan. In fact he couldn't even form the bonds until after war. It was becuase of the events of the war that he became able to form the bonds due to his need to shut out the force from inside himself.

Thats alot more than 2 cents.... anyways Wrapping up the story is, I agree, doubftul. Even if there is a KoTOR 3, God willing. There are way to many possibilities now with what could have happened with Revan and the Exile. To make another story that branches off and also finishes off the loose ends would be extremely hard to make. They would end up making people unhappy again with how the game ended anyways. There would be people saying thats not what should have happened or thats not how it went. Its always hard to make an ending for RPGs becaue they always end up leaving somone unhappy. And whats wrong with Return of the Jedi? It had the best star wars saber duel ever imo, the last one between Vader and Luke, may not have been the fanciest but it had the most feel to it.

If I had to pick, I would pick Revan. Their history or story really has nothing to do with it either. They both had fairly interesting histories that were both complex and enjoyable, but I wasn't to keen on the whole feeding concept of the Exile. Now sure it is probably quite powerful, and an interesting concept that provided something new to the Star Wars realm that I don't think has ever been touched before. But, I prefer my good old fashioned force user Revan appeard to be.

Who Do You Think Should Make KOTOR III?
Oberon replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why do people keep coming up with new styles of gameplay for KoTOR? Part of KoTOR is the fact that it has a semi unique style of gameplay, if they want to make another rpg without the KoTOR label and use a different engine that would be fine, but leave KoTOR to what it is. -
Intersting theory, but I find it doubtful. If she was the same as the Exile in her form of attachment to the force, then she would not have been influenced by the Dark Side when Malak had captured her. At least my interpretation of how the Exile was, was that since , he was not influnced with it like other people. To me Bastila clearly was influenced by it. Not to mention I think the Jedi would have noticed something like that. They noticed it on the Exile pretty quickly. And lastly, she formed a Bond only with Revan under extreme circumstances, the Exile formed bonds with everyone easily.

Back on the Carth / Bastila subject, I can't quite understand why she would say to Carth, if she didn't care about finding anything out that happened to Revan. As far as her not being there when the Exile first came into talk to Carth, its becuase it is possible that she isn't there at all if you said Revan was dark side but played as a light sided Exile. So they needed two seperate scenes for her being there and not being there. And rather than make two different ones with her in and not in, they just added her walking in at the end. And yes, Revan has to have gone dark side as well, otherwise it would be a serious plot hole.

which character do you like best for love quests??
Oberon replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
She couldn't have been 18 in Kotor 1. And I don't think they ever mention her specific age, nor anyone elses... they just say she is a young jedi. -
I got stuck on Nar Shadaa too without the plot advancing, but then I found a short bat faced ... or something like that.... creature standing outside the Cantina who I could give 2000 credits too saying he would make sure the exchange knew about me. As soon as I left the Cantina area and walked a little towards the Ebon Hawk I got the message from Atton.

Reasons I did not enjoy KotOR II ( Big spoilers )
Oberon replied to Kevar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Your complaints are pretty accurate if you ask me. They didn't really focus much on character development but more on philosophy and morals in this game. I don't know if that was intentional but it came off that way to me. Alot of the characters did feel pointless, like they were just thrown in there for the sake of being there, such as Darth Nihlus. It makes the game seem kind of bland. Of course it was still an excellent game, and blew away most RPG's out there in the fact that it still is a good mix of action and plot that not many other games have gotten right to this day. If they do make a KOTOR 3 and it ended up being like this I would still be content. -
Who Do You Think Should Make KOTOR III?
Oberon replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I am gonna have to go completely opposite, Kotor 2 was more in depth with the story as far as history and plotline go, but the only character who really had that much depth was Kreia. I think bioware did a better job with creating depth for the npc s. Thats why i agree that a dual developing would be nice albeit doubtful. -
Do you think KOTOR 3 is already being developed?
Oberon replied to EldestCosmonaut's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd really like to know where people are finding all this information. All I can find is a news post by some guy going by Stranger saying that 31 people were fired. Hardly what I would consider a reliable source. Still, I would like to know where most people are getting their info from. -
***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 3 WISHLIST***
Oberon replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Please no, don't make KOTOR III like Morrowind. That game was okay in its own way, but KOTOR shouldn't be so huge and open ended like that. It is very story driven and more like playing a movie than wandering around for endless hours going from one town to the next like in Morrowind. Of course we are all assuming there will be a KOTOR III. I am sure we would all like one, but from what I can tell its not doing as well as the first one did. Case and point two of my friends who played the first one didn't even know the second one was out until I told them, and they still haven't played it. I could be completely wrong about its success though, I am no economics expert. -

Very well thought out. I wasn't being completely serious when I said Ice Queen. But anyways, yeah that was pretty much how I interperted her, just with a lot better of an explanation. -

Oberon replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ironicly I just read those exact words on the IGN forums. I did like Atris too ,however, even though she was kind of an ice queen, no pun intended. She just need some lovin was all. Still perfered Bastila to all the others though, it was more interesting and exstensive. I like the whole redemption plot line. They sort of did the same thing with Visas and Atris, but it didn't feel the same since it wasn't played out as much. The other plus is Bastila had one the best accents and voices.
