I exchanged my disc and it fixed the problem, if you have a new box tan Im stumped, check the # on the game and make sure it is not too close to the first 1 you had. Maybe a bad burn. Good luck.

Yes, thank you. Cool to see you guys reply, great game but I returned my firsy copy as it froze alot. New copy, no probles to speak of, keep up the good work but find smeone else to burn them next time or maybe a little more QA. I know there will be alot of anxious people like myself that cant wait for it but Iwould rather wait a little longer ad get a flawless masterpeice. This is a masterpiece but with some flaws.

Ok, to anyone who read this I just realized by LA you ment Lucas Arts not Los Angeles, My bad so I feel pretty stupid now, but atleast no one has beat me up over it...yet... or maybe nobody has read this ...

So, it simply was not included. That really (insert explatives here)...but thanx for the info, now I wont waste my sanity hoping for somthing that doesn't exist.

The first copy I had froze from the beggining regardless of play time but the new copy has been great but occasionally after the box has been on for 8+hours of play it will start to freeze briefly every once in awhile but nothing major only a few seconds then it is back to normal, maybe character jumped ahead as if he had kept walking while it was frozen but certainly not having to restart or loosing save or anything like that. Maybe there is somthing to this but that is the new copy the 1st one was problematic from the start.

Can we push the x button from a menu screen and return to the Ebon Hawk like in the last game? The manual says you can but the ability to do so seems to be missing from the game. Is this a misprint in the manual, is it a glitch that wont allow it to happen or is it simply not a part of the game this time around? I would rather know that it does not exist then be frustrated waiting to see if I will ever notice a little x button (transit) icon on my party select screen. Has anyone out there had the x button icon appear saying transit next to it on the party screen? I havent seen it.

I was wondering about this myself maybe I wil post a new topic to see if Obsidian will respond. Is it not in the game, is it an error in the manual ( hay I live in LA the only dumbasses were born here the rest of us moved here from elsewhere and we are ok) Lets see if they can answer this for us.

I had this problem also and I was running it on a new X Box I returned the game 2days after release because I couldnt get more than 15 mins into it due to all the freezes. The newer copy that I got has played with virtually no problems, but about 20+ hrs in It started to occasionally freeze for a brief moment maybe 5 sec at its worst but this is rare and certainly not as bad as the first copy nor is it game ending and I havent had to restart or anything so I can live with it and I am fairly intolerant of slow down and freezing so this new copy is much better. Also I checked the number in the bootom right of the back of the box for the disc (large number 2 million somthing or other) and noticed that the new copy was approx 30 copies later than the 1 st copy that I got, leading me to believe that the problem lies in the burn not the X Box. If you have these problems I suugest a new copy of the game, it helped me. I dont blame Obsidian, though I hope there is somthing that can be done before KOTOR III (wishful thinking) but I do think they should find another company to produce the discs next time. Great game get a new copy if you have problems and I hope that will fix it for you as it helped me greatly.

This maybe a stupid question but are you just being creative or did I miss somthing in the last game? Is Bastilla a Skywalker? If we found out in KOTOR I want to know but if it is revealed in KOTOR II then I dont want to know so just dont respond. It would be a cool tie in if it were the case but would raise questions as to why nobody in Episode 1 was familiar with the Skywalker name as I would imagine that Bastilla would be a rather historical figure among the Jedi. On the otherhand KOTOR was released after Episode 1 but Im sure the developers are creative enough to come up with a believable tie in or maybe Im just a Dork when it comes to Star Wars. After all it was the very 1st movie I ever saw in a Theatre and I was only 4 years old when it came out so you can imagine what kind of effect this can have on a young boys child hood. End result, 31 year old video game playing Star Wars dork, who should be doing his job but is too busy wit posts at a KOTOR II forum. Thank you Mr. Lucas for a never ending childhood please keep em coming.

I had a similar problem so I got a new copy and so far all is well. Check out my other posts from yesterday and today for more detail, hope its helpful.

Update for anyone seeing this, I had 2 post on this yesterday so please forgive the redundency. I exchanged the bad copy for a new one and te problem appears to be resolved. Played for an hour or 2 last night and no problems at all great improvement considering I couldnt get past 15 mins for 2 days prior due to it freezing up every minute, Good Luck to the rest of you with problems hopefully a new copy fixes your problem too.

The rest of us can only move so fast. I'd try you game on a different XBox if you have on available (e.g., friend or nieghboor). See if it does it on theirs too. No matter the outcome, then take the game back and replace it. If the new copy does the same thing, and neither copy had a problem on your friends then you know if is your XBox. Why your XBox is disagreeing with the game, if that is the case, is a much bigger issue. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry for my lack of patience yesterday man, but like the rest of you, I have been eagerly anticipating this game for quite some time and wanted to get more than 15 mins in after my 3rd night playing, Im sure you understand but thank you also for the reply. I returned my copy and got a new one yesterday and I am HAPPY to say so far so good. great game, no problems( hope I dont Jinx myself) graphics are god sound is good, much better when not freezing up every minute. Need to play more but I would give it a better rating then game spot, very intrigued could be better than the last, I think it maybe time for Lucas to plan 3 more movies based on the time period in these games but with a new story that ties in with KOTOR I, II & hopefully III (guess Im jumping the gun a little) sorry for te run on sentences.

I was having a similar problem and exchanged my 1st copy of the game for a new one, I checkeed the serial number on the bottom right corner of the backside of the box for the new game and it was 29 copies from the 1st one I had and although I only played for an hour or 2 last night, I did not have any problems with the new copy. The 1st copy I had I couldnt get past the 1st 15 minutes because it was freezing up alot( check my post from yesterday for more detail) though my problem was more in game and in menu freezes not as much when loading or saving. I have it playing on an X box less than a year old but I hope your problem will be resolved with an exchange. My little brother is deep into the game on his older X Box and he has had no problems, I think the issues are the result of some poorly burned copies. Good Luck.

less than 15 minutes in, the game freezes often, change filters in menu = freeze, press black button to switch droids to open garage= freeze, move around = freeze, operate lift= freeze, use security terminal=freeze, hold it in, exhale, cough= freeze etc... It dosnt take much to freeze and it only lasts about 30 seconds each time but it must have happened about 10 times in a 15 min period and I havent even repaired the hyperdrive or even attempted to enter the engine room yet. Is this problem the game or my box? I have 3 boxes, 2 less than a year old and 1 original that is packed up to give to my bro for free as it cant seem to handle Morrowind and has an occasional dirty disc reading but never a problem on the new ones until now. Please help. Do I need a new box or a new game?

I so want to play this game but I am not even 15 mins into it, still on Ebon Hawk havent fixed hyper drive yet and the game freezes up on me very often. Black button, FREEZE, use computer, FREEZE, go to work bench, FREEZE, move around, FREEZE, Iam ready to go to Game Spot during my lunch break to exchange it but I am fearful that this may not help. I have 3 X Boxes, the 1st is a launchbox only problems ever had were occasional dirty disc error and more importantly MORROWIND would get lots of freezing and disc error but nothing like this, atleast it was playable. The other 2 are recent 1 for me and 1 for the misses both have a good drive(forget which one but I checked when I got them and according to the disc tray design they were verified to be non problematic according to forums like this) and I have never got a dirty disc error or freeze up on either of the newer boxes until now. Seems like some of you dont have any problems while others are expieriencing a plethora of problems. PLease help as I am only minutes into the game and it is unplayable. WILL A NEW DISC HELP OR DO I NEED A 4TH BOX. (forgive spelling and grammar errors)
