  1. It does matter how their contract is laid out, but I would be willing to bet that any patch ok's go through LA. I remeber reading on Biowares forums and someone asking about another patch for Kotor and Bioware said no becuase LA was happy with the game and would not allow anymore patching. Other examples would have patches built into the contract. In the case of Activision and CA, Rome Total War is only allowed two patches by the developer and the developer can release them whenever. Activision would only fund the two patches. So right now RTW has gotten is final patch and until an expansion comes out, there is no more patching of that game.
  2. *If* is shipping today, so I would be willing to bet tomorrow is a good time to have it. I am counting on the 9th.
  3. I can't understand why the AI can't be fixed to have your other characters attack when enemy is around. Maybe some kind of statement consisting of if PC attacks, then enter attack mode. I don't know, I am going to school for computer science and I have not learned the half of it. Also, why don't they have the "bumping" imported into the game. You know, Icewind Dale 1&2 and Baldurs Gate 2 had it, if you got stuck behind another party memeber and a piece of the level, you could move toward the party member and actually bump them out of the way. It worked pretty well when getting stuck. But again, that was the Infinity Engine, quite a bit different. I just hate the idea of them taking more time to refine the bugs and the reviewers knocks them down on that for having some annoying bugs in the game. I am already hoping for a patch already.
  4. You guys really think it is gonna drop on the 8th? Where was the gold annoucement?
  5. I would much rather have a more polished game and everything rather than it now and bugy. The Xboxers did a good beta testing job and are giving feed back to Obsidian and Lucas Arts. I am cool if they release it in a few weeks, or another month. As long as it takes. That and I am running through Kotor again.
  6. Well I used them, because in the case of NWN they would not release the manual patch until a few days or maybe even a week later. I thought the idea was good and makes getting patches easier I thought. But like the above poster said, I also saved the patches to my harddrive and/or cd.
  7. Have Obsidian or Lucas Arts talked about if they are going to use the Autoupdater that Bioware did for KOTOR and NWN? I was just wondering and I thought I would ask this hear rather than at Bioware's Forums. Thanks in advance.
