  1. 4/3rds of people don't understand fractions.

Which is more than you think

Edit: As for New Reno in FO2, it felt out of place, I still liked though. It would just have been more appropriate for a 1920-1930 organised crime type crpg...

  2. I saw an Uwe Boll movie...

Stuck in hotel room late at night (and I couldn't be bothered to do any more work), it was either "Bloodrayne" or some generic adult movie.

I should have gone for the xxx one, at least the acting, directing, story, camera, lighting, plot and music would have been better :ermm:

  3. Are the parents wealthy and/or in a position of power/influence? It could be blackmailing.

A disgruntled patient of the cardiologist?

It could be an opportunistic hotel employee, trying to make a buck (selling the girl to the highest bidder). Or just someone unrelated hanging around the tourists waiting for something with a sufficient perceived market value to get his hands on.

It could be one of the parents. Maybe they are not happy people?

Too few facts at the moment to do anything but speculating wildly.

  4. The simplest appetising dish I can think of would be soup. First you're going to want to set some finely chopped onions frying gently in a pan with only a little oil. While these are softening, crush a clove or two of garlic and sling these in. Next cube up about half your tin of SPAM and toss that into the oil on a high heat. If you have any paprika add it now. Once all this is fried up reasonably crunchy pour in a bunch of red lentils and some stock (lamb stock works best). Add a half teaspoon of peanut butter and stir. Simmer, while adding water and stirring until you have a thick soup - about half an hour.

I really have to try this one some day ;)

When I feel particularly brave that is...

  5. NWN 2, someone know if you can control the time in the game? It seems like its night too much of the time.

No idea how, but I agree it definitely feels like it's always dawn, night or dusk in the game.

I guess thats why they call it Neverwinter Nights 2 :aiee:

Still playing X-Com 3. Finally got personal disruptor shields for my troopers. My medical bills dropped like a rock and I now only need half the amount of men in my roster (since 2/3 of them no longer hang around being seriously injured).

  6. I have a can of SPAM lying around in my kirchen drawer. I bought it six months ago out of curiosity. It's just... I have no clue what to with it >_

How are you supposed to eat that stuff?!?

And no, google search for spam gave 217,000,000 pages. Not sure where to start.

Use the proper noun, indicated with the first letter as a capital, as per agreement with the makers. Hormel originally were a little upset that their product had become a byword for unwanted, useless (and tasteless) crap, but then (I guess when they realised the amount of marketing it resulted in) they were happy as long as "spam" was the internet verbiage and "Spam" was their tasty product.

From the article you linked to...

According to Hormel's trademark guidelines, Spam should be spelled with all capital letters and treated as an adjective, as in the phrase SPAM luncheon meat.

I'll just stick with the SPAM All Uppercase Edition (thats what they print on the cans anyway) :)

  8. Meh. It's just a tail.

    Every little detail counts.

    Oh, the Pun! :brows:

Meh, wasn't there something about various appendages being available in one of the patches. Maybe there is a console command there can give her what she needs. Maybe she would look good with bat wings too...

  9. She only gets the tail if you haven't encountered her in the game before patching. So loading a save game where she was tailless will result in her remaining as such. Don't know if it helps you, Gorth.

Sadly no. I patched the game first thing after installing. Ah well, some other time perhaps.

  10. Tail's still there for me, and for most other people. Gorth, did you go 1.06?

    Nope. Straight to 1.05

Either it has been amputated by the bandits that were harassing her at Fort Locke, or it was part of one of the previous patches (and missing from the 1.05 cumulative patch) or I was just plain unlucky that the game decided that she should miss one of her most prominent features next to her horns :sorcerer:

Edit: Anybody got some needle and thread?

  11. What did they do to Neeschka's tail?!? :brows:

I just reinstalled NWN2 and patched it from 1.00 to 1.05.

I swear, when I first played it and patched it gradually 1.00, 1.01, 1.02 etc. a tail appeared on Neeshkas butt after one of the patches :ban:

Now her tail is gone again :)

  12. What age range are you in?

    __ 18-24

    __ 25-30

    __ 31-55

    __ 56+

    Are you male or female?

    __ Male

    __ Female

Do you think overpopulation is a problem?

    __ Yes

    __ No

What do you think should be done to solve it?

__ A maximum limit of children per family enforced by law.

__ Colonization of currently non-habitable environs.

With the global warming, both Siberia and Greenland should become new prime quality farmland

__ Nothing, new technologies will be developed to allow us to place more people in the same area without stripping the planet of its resources.

    __ Nothing because I

  13. Further, the raven should have the ability to develop language-like skills, and may indeed already have some sort of register.

Any Scandinavian child should be able to tell you that Odin has two ravens that keep an eye on the world and whispers in his ear what is happening. It has been known for more than a millennia that ravens could talk :brows:

  14. There is a patch/loader somewhere on the net that I downloaded and tried a a few months ago. It works nicely with the Win95 compatible version of Terror from the Deep. I can't say if it does the same for the Steam download version. Otherwise, try giving Dosbox (maybe with a graphical frontend like DFend for ease of use) a try. I'm having a blast these days running X-Com 3 on that

  15. Still playing Fallout 2. Cleared out the Military Base (also known as Fallout's version of Diablo) and got my first power armour. Then I proceeded to San Fransisco.. and my Skilldex button turned black. Piece of [anatomy-] sucking [bodily-] licking BUNGHOLE [rudeness]!!! And then it hit me.. I got this strange feeling of Deja Vu. I realized that I don't think I've ever completed Fallout 2 because of all the gamebreaking bugs! I WILL FIGHT THROUGH THEM THIS TIME!!

    Incredibly frustrating.

Hit the S button and it will pop up the skills. I had that problem which the patch didn't cover.

Isn't that a bug with the military base? Once you go there, the button turns black. Never really noticed it as a problem though, as the above mentioned 'S' key is much more convenient for the skilldex menyu :bat:

  16. As a small kid, I wanted to build stuff (didn't really know the title for it back then). Much to the frustration of my surroundings, as everything was a potential building material and everything was subjected to being hammered, nailed, screwed, glued, taped and stapled together... *ahem*

As a teenager, I wanted to study biology and biochemistry, both of which was my passion in highschool.

As a young man, I wanted to be a programmer and so, for good and for ill, I started on my current carreer path.

I guess I have driven it as far as I can in my current line of work (technical manager in a software development company), so the "what do you want to be" question is a bit hard to answer. Perhaps I might want to go full circle some day, assuming I make enough money to retire early, go back and start studying biology and biochemistry again >_

  17. X-Com 3: Apocalypse. Finally got a large Quantum Physics research lab built, so I can speed up my research of the juicier alien technology. About time too, I am losing the war of attrition with most of my men and vehicles in various states of disrepair... :)

  18. Ramza... what in the name of Fish were you doing on a website called "www.gurl.com" in the first place?!? :yucky:

I looked at the first quiz and was completely unable to come up with any answers. Gave up at the third question.

Tried the second one, ended up with a "Raven" :ermm:
