  1. Of course, if you had read the actual press release regarding Star Wars Tales #21 (as found here: http://www.darkhorse.com/news/pressrelease.php?id=995 ) You would find this: Tales is no longer Infinites and is part of comic-continuity now.
  2. Using any domain registration check you'll find it was registered by a "Francisco Arias" from Bogota, Colombia. He used a Yahoo email account to register. Gosh, looks official. As the Moderator to this forum is trying to to tell us... nothing is being done with K3 at this time. Maybe in the future, but not right now. At the moment no company seems even willing to admit doing anything in that direction. We just have to wait for an official statement, until then everything is only rumor.
  3. Nope. She shows up regardless! I tried it myself, as well as others. You're "supposed" to redeem her as it's the light side thing to do... even though if you fail, you can beat the game anyway. But that's off-topic.... Back on topic... I agree with Barachiel. The ending is definitly lacking. It's definitely no Empire Strikes Back. Even though that was a cliff-hanger... there was still a degree of closure, and most important... a DIRECTION. Kotor2 ends feeling like it made stuff up as it went along, ran out of steam and died. The amount of emphasis on the Exploits of Revan and the cliche "Ancient Evil" makes you think the game would at least hint on what was up, or at the least set things up better for another version... But it doesn't. Sloppy writing if they were dependant on a Kotor3 to end their game for them. Especially given that there may never be a K3. I don't blame Obsidian though. They may have been given too much responsibility with limited time and resources.
  4. Right you are! I'm not playing the game, but based on what you shared, that equation should equal 13. Operations in paratheses first, then operations on multiplication and division, from left to right and finally addition and subtraction from left to right. The "addition before subtraction" rule is often taught to children in elementary school. However, some teachers prefer the reverse. When we move on to algebra and other "higher" mathematics, we're taught how to handle more complex equations. Thusly: Ask Dr. Math! However, next time you play that bit, is negative 5 an option? Might be the developers used an obscure rule most real mathematicians don't use.
  5. This is a pretty random question but... What's the font used in the Knights of the Old Republic logo? I've spent a good deal of time hunting myfont.com and identifont.com and a bunch of other websites to try to ID it... but no luck. Is it a commercial font? Free-ware? Or something made exclusively for the game series? Anyone recognize the font (or any developers who know)? I'm referring to the part that actually says "knights of the old republic." It's pretty distinctive and has an irregular, almost sliced look. The "O" and "C" feature spikes in the inside of the curve. You can see the detail better in one of the larger wallpapers. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
  6. Quite likely. But that really wasn't the point. It's finding a neutral way to get the question orbs to show up without having something you click on pull you in the wrong direction. it's a lot more interesting and fun to get force points through the questions since your respective dark or light side tutors speak to you and some of the question are neat. Also, you get to either destroy the Sith or the Jedi on the last question.
  7. I think some of you might be reading too much into the images. They likely showed the other (non-Force sensitive) characters as being physically corrupted simply to emphasis how your stance in the light/dark affects how they feel about things. I think it's simply something done for effect in the wallpaper's and adverts... not something to be taken literally.
  8. Certain items will pull you either light or dark side... most items are neutral. Every now and then an orb will fly up from the bottom, click it and you are asked a question with either a light or dark answer. This pulls you further to either side. Once you attain mastery over a certain side you are awarded a special wallpaper. On the Home page, click on "screenshots" on the bottom bar. The screens are nuetral so scrolling through them will trigger the question orb at intervals. Fastest way to attain light or dark side mastery.
