    What I wouldn't give for a good gyro in this town...

    I wouldn't call Daphne's good. Adequate, maybe.

     

    But hey, they've a location near you. Less than 40 miles away. I suggest you make this an excellent New Year's Eve adventure--your Harold&Kumar moment.

     

    Go, my friend, and seek gyros.

     

     

    Actually I've been to that Daphnes.

     

    Not good, but decent.

     

    It's a ways away just to get a decent gyro though, have to come down off my hill and all.

    Hey Child, I don't know about the avatar. I think there was some guy that tried to have a "Hitler munching on a watermelon slice" avatar, but the mods shot him down...

    Since Churchill just dressed in a snazzy tux, he doesn't really have any characteristics that define him well in 16-bit form, so I did my best to make his jowls and double chin show. I'm afraid that the shadowing I did might look like facial shrubbery though.

    I couldn't find many references for Russian WWII uniforms with my quick GIS searching that weren't in black and white, and I wasn't familiar with them offhand, so I just made most of the colors up.

    Last summer. 'Bout six month ago.

     

    Only thing that's changed about my since then is I've let my hair grow out, and continued losing weight.

    Hunting

    Hunting is a neccessity if only to keep the prey populations healthy.  When there's too many deer, they run out of food and start getting sickly and dying.

     

    In either case, the animals die and the population is back at a healthy amount. Same difference, except you're exhausting more effort than needed. We always just let the problems solve itself and it works fine.

     

    Hunting is crap. Respect your equels, ****er. Your life is not worth a grain more than theirs. I hope someone starts picking hunters off with a hunting rifle just for irony.

     

     

    And yes, sometimes animal populations get out of control re: human settlements, and I suppose I understand that too...overpopulated deer starving is part of nature's way, and if people want to hurry the process a little for meat and prudence, so be it.

     

     

    It's not just that the hunters want meat, it's the disease that follows the hunger and starvation that's the real bitch. 'Specially since a lot of it spreads over into other species.
