  1. I'm not sure, but was Exar Kun even a represenative of the Sith Empire?  I was under the impression that Exar Kun was turned by the ghost of Naga Sadow but never actually met any othre living Sith from the real Sith Empire.

the Sith species died out along time ago .. this is also said in KOTOR, the Sith of this day are the followers of the ideals, not the species ..

  2. well I agree .. but still they should at least be mentioned, becuase it was a big discovery for the galaxy .. if not for anything else then just for continuity!

I mean if we discovered an ancient civilization that once ruled the entire earth before us, it would be a pretty big deal!

but 5 years later they might not have discovered much of importance, it is a big planet full of mean Rakatan after all!

  3. yeah I know the screen with the dying text is from the Hawk .. But watch the trailer, and when he says "the old republic is crippled bla bla bla" you fly through a Republic ship full of dead bodies .. and its not from the Hawk.. thought that could be the Harbinger perhaps!?

  4. It said in a movie that the PC was aboard the Harbinger (funny name for a ship you were aboard before the game starts  :) ) before Peragus .. but there is a screenshot where Kreia is lying, seemingly, lifeless on the floor and the text says something like "everyone aboard the Ebon Hawk are wounded are dying after the battle" ..

I was just thinking of the new movie that was released the other day, the one that shows Kreia running off to stall Sion while the PC gets away. I also think I read it somewhere that the Harbinger will be at Peragus so maybe the PC goes back to find out why s/he wound up in the Kalto tank in the first place and this is where the meeting with Sion happens?

I think you are rushing to reach the Ebon Hawk at that point .. because the Sith are arriving en masse .. and then Sion appears and Kreia runs off to buy the PC some time .. Maybe sacrificing herself, who knows (until dec 6)

But I don't know if the Harbinger is on Peragus at that point .. The trailer has a short view of a republic ship full of corpses! maybe thats from the ship?

  5. or it could be that she plays a trask like part, where she is just around long enough to reconnect you to the force then dies, correct me if I am wrong but has there been any screen shots of kreia after peragus/harbinger (saying the harbinger happens right after peragus)?

  6. I find it kinda odd that none of the other darkside users (bsds the emperor) turn all gray and stuff, I mean look at anakin he still had color in him.

not in the OT .. he was pale as a ghost when Luke took the mask off .. of course he was dying and had just been zapped by the full force (lightning) of The Emperor.. It takes time to be twisted into a mockery of your former self! even though this happened almost immediatly in the game ..

  7. Remember when Bastila sacrificed herself to save Revan(EVEN THO I ALMOST KILLED MALAK!). Well look at this, and i got this from Lucasarts

    Kreia

The elderly mentor Kreia forms a powerful telepathic bond with the player, determined to help him rediscover the ways of the Force. She is, in fact, quite willing to sacrifice herself if it means the player will survive and reconnect with his teachings.

you know this isn't a contest in posting most topics .. and just to be a prick, this has already been discussed to .. well its been discussed alot!

  8. I have heard some of the voices in Kotor2, and i am very impressed. I mean i loved the first Kotor's voices, but these ones sound rlly good. Like if you go 2 Lucasarts.com, and go to the kotor2 thing, and start answering questions and picking a side. YOu can hear Keria and Lord Sion make comments, and they both sound freaking awesome. O and another thing i like, when you are bad on that website they play awesome music 4 a lil bit. I hope they have something like that in teh game, but when you are good on teh site it kinda sounds like a fairy tale type of music, but it sounds like it would be good if you were in a cave, or figured something out. If none of this rlly made since, then go 2 lucasarts.com/ lol thanks

the music is actually stored in you temporary internet files folder (or what ever its called) .. as Dark.mp3, Light.mp3

  9. There both fine with me as long as I can rule the galaxy... yea I'll stick with the sith! :)

i just love the fact that the Sith are so powerful, and they always look and talk cool.

Yea they are pretty cool I jsut don't like that Darth Sion guy, I mean I thought I had bad acne but look at his face! :D

allow me to quote Jules from Pulp Fiction .. to give a respond to that remark ..

There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." I been sayin' that **** for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a mother****er before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some **** this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that **** ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

  10. That would add a more how do you say time consuming aspect to the game... but aren't we gonna be able to use battle meditation or was that taken out! :-

I think he meant in a more true meditation kind of way .. sitting down and reaching deep inside your mind and the force.. Thats what I thought at least ..

All I want from an apprentice is his/hers loyalty, no need to bow .. just take that bullet when the time comes .. :)

  11. wasn't part of the mission making it so anyone could get inside the temple?

you took down the force field that sealed the temple .. so in an essence, yes ..But I remember something about "The One" was in control of the rest of the planet, which was a series of archipelagos, and they contained alot of old ruins with devices the "black" Rakata couldn't decipher .. they eventually heard of another race of Rakata who held the knowledge which enabled their race to use this technology .. not knowing they no longer had the ability to control the Force, he set off to conquer this last island and acquire the lost knowledge for his own purposes ..

This made me think that the Sith would be VERY interested in the place, and the Jedis would be VERY interested in keeping it protected ..

  12. Ya I can see the parallels that just about all sci fi/fantasy shares, but having read Dune(movie blows btw) I just don't see it. There's even more of a gap when you see the initial concepts of both

oh yeah that movie by Lynch where Herbert "helped" by playing a creative consultant, but ended up killing the enitre movie with his stubbornes .. dreadful, couldn't bear watch it all the way through .. saw the mini series, and they were alright imo, but the books really rock!

perhaps there is a parallel between the rise of Paul/Muad'Dib and his "fall" were he becomes distant and to a degree evil by the power he wields and to the rise and fall of Vader, Paul son eventually surpassed him as well.. hmm maybe thats a bit of a reach ..

  13. *mumbles something about Dune*

You mean "chosen one" similarities? Except for that I don't see too many (except for futuristic settings) that coincide with SW ..

But then again its some time ago since I read Frank's masterpiece ..

Oh, it's nothing. A lot of people go to some extreme lengths to prove that Star Wars was a complete rip-off of Dune.

hmm .. heard about it, but never really found it to have much merit .. of course GL borrowed some Sci-fi and Fantasy themes, but to call it a rip-off seems a bit harsh imo ..

  14. Ya to think of it you haven't really seen too much about them in the new game. I wonder if they'll have a pivitol role considering they had an abundance of technology that's darkside powered

exactly .. my instincts tell me that they won't play any importance in TSL, but they really should, since their technology would be very interesting from a Sith point of view .. Ships only they could command etc.

  15. im kinda lost, would you explain that again?

The Rakata is an ancient race, and probably with alot of hidden secrets on their planet .. as Laozi mentioned mostly powered by the dark side .. and the force in general! They once "owned" most of the galaxy .. and now they have been rediscovered, what importance will this play in KOTOR2 ?

  16. If you went LS .. The "party" for the liberation of the galaxy took place on the Rakatan homeworld .. So now they are probably well known through out the galaxy or at least to those who attended the final celebration!

perhaps this will mean the Rakata will be reintroduced to the galactic scene.. And I wonder what consequences that will have? and if it will have any impact on KOTOR 2 .. it must be of some importance that you suddenly discover the history of an older galactic empire and their technology .. perhaps even a deeper understanding of The Force since The Rakata seemed to use it pretty extensively in their technology ..
