  1. Is it curious? To some who sympathises perhaps, but to everyone else it's very obvious that anti-Islamic/anti-Christian/anti-Judaic attitudes more often than not stem from ignorance, fearmongering and hate fueling. And is therefore quite understandably dismissed as such. You see, if you stand outside of the whole religion thing - you see how, 'in their heart' all religions are beautiful and inspiring, but so often the loudest and most stupid are allowed air time.. It's the same with all of the desert religions. And I understand why you fear them, I do - because they challenge your feeling of being right.. That just doesn't make it right though. Understand that embracing difference is not the same as being assimilated by it.
  2. seen at Comic Con.
  3. Hmm, perhaps we don't know our feline companions as well as we thought.
  4. Yes, but a little less bad.
  5. Guess they never learn.
  6. Problem is Boo, your people have voted and they've chosen multiculturalism - wanna change it? Go into politics and start doing something instead of moaning - that's what they did (and a good thing there are some moderates in control now, seeing as your country has quite the history with extremes). And how the hell is liberal = marxism? Liberals are, strangely enough, liberal. Marxism is very opposed to the idea of free market and capitalism, which liberals are very much for. Breivik was a rightwing extreme, but the left has equally dangerous extremes - I'm much more worried that these two sides are gonna start shooting at each other than more of this happening to be honest.
  7. I've had my cordless Logitech keyboard and mouse for just under 8 years now - they still work perfect and the battery life is still as long as when I bought it (the 4 AA in the keyboard last around 7-8 months).. how's that for quality.
  8. ^ Although a good suggestion it's a little easy to exploit.
  9. Glen Beck is a sorry excuse for a human being... "There was a shooting at a political camp, which sounds a little like, you know, the Hitler youth. I mean, who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing." he said in a radio broadcast..
  10. Got similar stuff every once in a while. I feel awake and realize my surroundings, but I can't move, can't scream, can't do anything. It's very unpleasant. After a while I can get myself to wake up and it's over, with my heart beating super fast. It sounds like sleep paralysis.. Being concious while the body goes through the sleep cycles - I've had a friend who said it was like falling and then hitting water as the body entered REM. He entered a lucid dream immediately (although he didn't know that) and woke up because he had a panic attack.
  11. No the rich are still charging interest on their imaginary money and foreclosing houses - so I'd say the lower middleclass and poor got shafted (somewhat by themselves) because they were living beyond their means and are now trying to pay off what they couldn't and still can't afford.
  12. I read yesterday, that it took an hour for them, from when they got the call to they had a team on the island - I think that's a pretty quick reaction. Some are saying that it was too slow - but what are they expecting, that police officers can teleport?
  13. Well at the time they didn't know how many were there - if there was more explosives, etc. I'm sure some of the cops would have wanted to go, but I also understand the highher ups wanting an experienced team on the ground.
  14. Haha nice.. I had a similar experience, where a monster was chasing me - I became lucid and just waved my hand at it, which made it disappear. I spend the rest of the dream in awe of the fact that I could see, smell and touch the imaginary objects. I can vividly remember touching a concrete wall and feeling the rugged surface, while being keenly aware that all of it was being imagined - it's a great experience.
  15. Battlefield 3 Alpha. Looks like Bad Company 2.
  16. Nothing, you've probably had a few, but as you say you don't remember.. Dream recall is very important, I have a good recall because I've spent a lot of time remembering my dreams, so now it comes naturally. Without recall the dream will just whither away.
  17. Were you a part of the fleet or did you witness it like a film? Most of my dreams have a pretty strong narrative and a very logical progression, which often fools me into thinking that it's real - it's only when it gets a little too sci-fi or there like a leap of faith that I get suspicious. I actually had a very beautiful dream about 28th century technology, which was 50/50 biological and mechanical.. It all seemed to fit so perfect in the world.
  18. I had the most disturbing and thought provoking dream ever a few nights ago, I'm still trying to fully understand it - but I've become very interested in lucid dreams (which this was).. Have any of you ever had a lucid dream? and if so, how was it? Also, anyone is more than welcome to share a strange dream they've had - I thought this could be like a "what you did today" just with sleep activity instead.
  19. For those who can read Norwegian here's a personal account from one of the survivors on the island.
  20. Slice it with a sharp knife and then cut off the "skin".
  21. I agree completely. If he had done this on an empty abandoned airstrip or some place where he couldn't have caused major accidents and death, I would have no problem - as it stands now he was clearly putting several lives at risk just to show off - that's way beyond being an a-hole, that's psychopathic. If you are willing to risk other people's lives for a stunt (who didn't agree to participate), then you are clearly psychotic.
  22. I couldn't see it on Eurogamers either, but I found it on youtube.
  23. Yeah I couldn't help but laugh at that too..
  24. Can anyone explain how happens?
  25. We are vastly outnumbered, but of course we can always ban people if they get the better of us. In regards to the topic - I just discovered the now dead Beyond The Red Line (Battlestar Galatica) mod for Freespace and it was actually pretty frakking sweet. Even though you only get 2 missions. Then I found out that most of the team has moved on to a similar project called Diaspora. I'm looking forward to this! Also, saw the trailer for Prototype 2 - looks pretty sweet.
