  1. Well he can't be too far from being legal since I'm assuming he's got a license for riding his bike... oh snap.
  2. That's so shopped she looks like a synthetic doll.
  3. No. They're shipped to Egypt for ...processing.
  4. Look down? No. It's their life. Maybe only the ones that are afraid to join in times of hardship but end up justifying or hiding their fear by heckling others that do or portraying them as inferior.
  5. Wait, to make things more general that should be Game length = r * (N - Y) where N is what they were originally aiming for in hours. N>0. In general I think r>0 and Y could be positive or negative. Oh yeah, I should probably add that Y<N.
  6. So your formula for estimating NWN2's length would be Game length = r * (40 - Y), where r = adjustment ratio Y = stuff cut In your case, I get the impression you're leaning towards 0<r<1 and Y>0. Formula aside, what did you vote for?
  7. 90 hours on the first playthrough?
  8. Good point. Just be consistant in whatever way you measure time with other games. I'm not sure whether it's too late to adjust your BG time experience, just be consistant so we can compare how NWN2 holds up for example.
  9. When NWN2 finally comes out we need a poll on how long how long we each spent on our first run through NWN2 OC. To spike things up, list your EXPECTED playing time in hours with a -5, +5 hour range. We can compare our current expectations to our realised outcome and have a jolly good debate. If you get negative values on your range, replace the negative values to 0. Pip pip. To "define" play time, let it be the hours read on your final saved game, if it has that feature. I don't think that includes load time etc. I'll start off. I'm expecting 28 hours on my first run (and voting for 28, ie 25-30 for the poll), so my range is (23, 33) hours.
  10. How old was the single player build when Fergie estimated the game time?
  11. Thanks Llyranor. I'm looking forward to the companions backing the PC in speech checks. How often would the checks kick in and is specialising each character in something (diplomacy, intimidate etc) better than going for all-rounded characters?
  12. I'm with you CoF. Army size +1.
  13. How many of you dudes can pinpoint Vegas's exact location?
  14. Is this cyber D&D with guns?
  15. Back to the paladin losing powers due to allignment shift, I think it would make an interesting campaign if the players need to convince a disillusioned paladin to return to righteous ways so that he can/will resurrect their companion.
  16. That's what Volourn mentioned earlier. Virtually every crappy feature in a game could use that excuse. I'm not really saying it's completely game breaking or anything, but it helps set the stage for dull combat and it needs to go after NWN2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still don't get the fuss over it. It's purely an option - something you can ignore or use. When something doesn't affect my preferred choice in any way, but is there in case I want it I don't freak.
  17. I think there's a real shift in attitude as people know they can quickly wiki or google answers to non-essensial stuff if they want/need to when they need it.
  18. I just can't help chuckling at how the Natives might have protested the colonisers signing their songs in English/Spanish/French instead of the local lingo and the settlers having parades like the May 1 one.
  19. I love this thread already.
  20. Yeah, like who'd go to their casinos then?
  21. What's the fuss over the queue system? Think of it as an option - if you don't like it then just ignore it. If you do like it then it's a nice bonus.
  22. I haven't seen it yet.
  23. The computerandvideogames.com site seems to be down
  24. I'm definitely looking forward to Pirates 2!
