Under no circumstances I'm saying that Jacen wasn't important, quite the contrary in the NJO. But don't confuse his role with his ability with the Force.

No he wasn't. You're thinking of an entirely different fight in which Luke was brandishing two lightsabers. In the final book, it would have been impossible for his nephewS (plural) to be impressed, seeing as how Anakin Solo was dead by then and only Jacen and Jaina were in that final battle with him. And both were too busy to even see what Luke was doing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nephews, Jacen and Jaina were fighting alongside him torwards Shimrra.

Yeah, and Luke admitted in the final book that he was WRONG and Vergere's views on the Force were the correct one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really don't think so! Yes, Luke said that he had a wrong/reduced grasp of the Force, but I recall he said that even Vergere didn't had the full picture.

Again, you mistake "fighting ability" with "most powerful Force user". Luke's ability to fight with a lightsaber is completely different than tapping in to the Force to use it's power. Jacen was able to defeat his adversary without "fighting" him. But hey, if you disagree with this, then take it up with Lucasbooks. Since they're the ones that implied what Jacen did was such a monumental feat. Personally, I still favor Yoda as the most powerful ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you recall it was said in the book that Luke was also one with the Force duting the fightiing. In fact his nephews were impressed and if I remeber it was said that he was glowing light during thaat period. So Jacen afterwards did something similar, but in a different way.

Well the scene I liked was when he/she nodded to Bastila when they were aboard the Ebown Hawk on their way to the SF.

As I said I believe he had the tight mindset. That said I doubt that he could fight his way to that point as Luke did slightly before if you can remeber.

Umm, yeah. But do I have to point out what should been an OBVIOUS point about all those you mentioned? THEY'RE DEAD! If you become one with the force, than the force literally controls your actions. If Jacen became one with the force and lived, it wasn't because he was special or anything, it's because the force WANTED him to live. The Force pick him because he was the one with the right mindset to do that task.

We do like Zahn's books because they are based on character development and not the use of uber -super mega Force powers. I do not like comics and cartoons about Sw because they tend to make the characters too powerful. I.e in the Clone Wars Windu won a battle with droids all by himslef, while on genosis he had his ass kicked by a much smaller amount of droids plus some other Jedi to help him. So no I think I'll pass on Exar Kun's super powers. And yes my opinion remains with Luke. Clearly the boy manage to deafeat Vader and destory Palpatine by maging to bring back Anakin, something not even Yoda or Obi Wan could do. Add to this that he had limited trainning and the fact that he restored the Jedi Order all by himself then I think he would kick everyone's ass, but only if he totaly had to.

Somehow the power of Exar Kun is way off limits. I really doubt that he would be as strong as he is assumed to be if he was ever a in movie.
