  1. If Project X is a sequel of some game, it is most likely that I didn't play the first part(s) (all I've been playing in the last 5 years is Fallout and Starcraft), so I'll be able to judge the game objectively. Good luck Obsidian.
  2. Well, I can't give any specific titles here, but I bet that there are hundreds of games out there that totally suck, but have (for example) a very well made graphic engine, or a good storyline, or music (at this moment the title Dementia came to my mind), and most of the time people would notice that in spite of the fact that the game itself as a whole is awfull - especially with the graphics, people tend to notice this one very early, even as early as upon viewing some screenshots, and I'm quite sure that people will say "woah, this game has excellent graphics, I wonder if the gameplay/music/etc. will be as good". And there is nothing bad in that. I agree with the rest of your post.
  3. 13 Ghosts was kinda funny I like the way they made the ghosts look in that movie.
  4. Hahaha ) But seriously, wait untill Project X is announced. Don't be too greedy.
  5. All you say is true, but the thread asks about what KOTOR 2 will be _famous_ for, and not about what will make the game great. I can say for example that Final Fantasy VII is very famous for a fantastic storyline, and an original combat system. While Fallout is most famous for how much freedom and control the character has over what is going on in the game. Concidering the above, I would say that a "what will the game be famous for" question is quite right in place.
  6. I used the Fallout Music as ambient in our RPG-session yesterday, it was very cool. Mark Morgan rules! Which music exactly did you use? Almost every tune from the Fallout 1 soundtrack, New Reno, Modoc and Redding from the sequel and a couple from PS:T. We were playing a Post-apocalyptic, Swedish RPG called "Mutant". "Mutant" sounds quite interesting  I'll try to dig up a bit more about that. PS. personally, I think that "The Den" soundtrack is the best one I've ever heared, while at the same time the "Modoc" soundtrack is the most scenery-compatible one I've ever heared - it has a sense of harmony and peace, and at the same time, it makes you feel that there is something wrong with the city, and that it's inhabitants have their own little problems.
  7. I can't wait till OE finally announces what project X is, and to see how the public will react to that )
  8. Well, not that I'm whining or anything, but I think you should add a "forum" link to the top main menu on the front page of your site )
  9. Well I think it can't be first person view, since Project X is an RPG game. Don't know about the backgrounds and models though, sure would like to know that as well.
  10. I rather see Obsidian publish under Blizzard ent. )
  11. That would be " World Environments" for me, if that's a choice
  12. Hmm... I think you should cool it for a while with posting Polls, at least untill you figure out what you are doing wrong
  13. Maybe You should start another thread. This one should be closed by a moderator ASAP. Just make sure you get it right this time ;-)
  14. Relax guys. This is a forum after all. It's made to discuss even the weirdest subjects ) The more speculations there are, the more interest around the game itself.

  16. A great example of how music can make the atmosphere of the game outstanding is Fallout, and especially Modoc, New Reno, and The Den.
  17. I hope it will be revealed on E3. But I doubt that. The game needs to have a clear progress before anything will be shown. They can't just go to E3 and say "Were making a game named XXX, it's an RPG". They have to present something..
  18. That's a really pessimistic approach. Why do you think it will _never_ be made? That's non-sense. One day or another, one way or another, it will be finished. Either by interplay, or by someone who will want to revive history and buy the lisence from Interplay. And as for the lisence price, as far as I heared, it would cost at least a couple of million $.
