  1. Could this possibly apply to abilities as well? I got stuck in combat after an encounter with Fampyrs in the western White March woodlands, on closer inspection Sagani was unable to move, and had been marked as Mortal Enemy (presumably by a charmed Pallegrina). Combat finally ended upon interaction with a Soul south of the encounter, but Sagani was still marked and unable to move, ended up having to reload.
  2. I don't really mind minor stuff like spells don't working as described, but when you find yourself replaying an area for the 3rd time due to bugs, it gets a bit tedious... 1st time through failing due to the endlessly levelling constructs (fond flashbacks to griding HoW trashmobs without any kind of loot, less fond once I realize there's no Mass Invisibility to simply bypass them this time) 2nd time getting back to town and switching in Pallegrina to try out St Ydwen, only to find the sword you'd picked up shortly before the constructs being absent from all characters + stash.
  3. For the 2nd time now, I experienced the game crashing on startup on OSX after an update, where it'd run fine before. The first time, I was lazy, and reinstalled (which fixed the issue), this time I was on a limited bandwidth line, and went a bit deeper before opting to reinstall. I'd played the game fullscreen on my 1680x1050 MBP 1st of April, it turns out (after the update), Unity tries to start the game in a senseless resolution; from ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log: "Switching to 1440x852 fullscreen" Which causes the game to crash spectacularly with a SIGABRT before we get to a place where we can change resolution/fullscreen option. The workaround is simple; force the game to use a valid resolution through the standard unity command line parameters, in Steam (for my 2011 MBP) that means right-click -> options -> Set Launch options... as: -screen-width 1680 -screen-height 1050 Hope it helps someone else to avoid a reinstall until they figure out how to do an update without breaking the resolution settings!
  4. Myah, inconsistencies like this are bugs too IMHO, and potentially easily fixed ones as well if one settles for rewriting text instead of adjusting bonuses Must've borked the forum search, nice to know there's others who found this irritating!
  5. Just a small point that irritates every time I make a new character: Aumaua: "... They are known for their unparalleled strength" Might: +2 Dwarf: "... Dwarves are known for their great strength..." Might: +2 Not really unparalleled then, eh?
  6. Welp, I'm way late to the party, got my title through the pledge page already though :D
  7. Thanks for the huge update! Would it be possible to say a bit about ethnicities? Some have been mentioned by name only, a few with general home regions, but there's not much to be found about their actual differences. Was also wondering, any significant events other than the Saint's War in recent memory? Like, how long ago did soul magic become a (renewed) area of research?
  8. For the characters, it would be *really* useful if more background info on the world was posted. There are bits and pieces that can be gleamed from forums posts, but nothing coherent afaict. At the moment it feels like I could write a backstory that would clash 100% with the setting, and not ever know...
  9. From the intro music started with an homage to the Kuldahar theme, I knew I wanted to back it. The atmosphere in IWD, created by its music, art, and cut scenes, combined with the mechanics of the Infinity Engine, is still my favourite DnD experience on a PC. Sure, the story pales in comparision with Obsidians newer (and most older) efforts, but the *feel* of that game was immense.
