  1. It does not. You simply have to locate Raedric on your own (the priest in the throne room will also tell you where he is if you didn't kill him last time).
  2. What would you do with a high Mechanics rank? There aren't any locked doors/containers and secrets are found with Perception afaik. But the cat is undead... Yeah, the spider queen on lvl 1 or the vithrack leader on lvl 12 seemed like a good place to check, but alas...
  3. The jawline, chin, cheekbones, and forehead/brow are all very close. The nose ridge is slightly different, and obviously the lips are thicker. But if you're gonna make a black female character, always take the least black famous attractive black chick you can think of and work from there. So it was either gonna be Rihanna, Beyonce, or Halle Berry.
  4. Yeah, ok, I can see that, I guess. There are a few similarities. Her voice is considerably different though.
  5. I know. Like I said, there's been a multitude of them. I just wanted to make one where up to date info is presented clearly for everyone to find and hopefully end the confusion and time wasted looking for things that are not there. I've managed to find the yellow lab. Any idea where to locate the terrier? My search/google-fu has failed me.
  6. Use short phrases to stack up for invocations. Use long phrases for party buffs. I started out with with my rogue going into flanking positions and Durance faffing about in the thick of it, but by the end of the game, everyone except the tank(s) was just standing in the back autoattacking with ranged weapons and occasionally popping an ability, like summoning ogres (or other beasties) for extra smashy goodness.
  7. Nope. The one you equip just runs/flies beside your main character. They're cosmetic (for now at least).
  8. I got bored with Aloth pretty quickly (can't even be bothered to commit his name to memory). I kinda liked his alter ego, and I'd probably have kept him if there was a way to make her take over permanently instead of dragging that weak-willed, mewling tree hugger along. But since that wasn't an option, and the wizard class didn't impress me, I kicked him to the curb when others came along. Eder was a bro and has some funny banters ("If I'm not supposed to pet him, why is he so soft?!"). Plus, he makes for a crazy good tank. Any guy who takes that much punishment and doesn't whine about it (unless it's poison), is okay in my book. Durance is crass as hell, but I loved him anyway. He's antipathetic by design, but he's got flavor and is probably the most memorable of all the companions. Kana is just... meh. Kept him until the end because he summons ogres like a mad c***. Seriously, his ogre game insane. Other than that, he was largely just annoying with his happy-go-lucky bookworm attitude. Sagani is mostly useless as a character. She's also the biggest basic bitch in the game even though she's an eskimo dwarf. Commoners on the street are more interesting. So is her pet. Pallegina feels more like a teenager pretending to be a paladin than an adult entrusted with forging a trade agreement with another people. Sometimes I just wanna slap her, but hey, at least I care enough to do so. Hiravias is the druid who dumps his Cha for that extra +2 to Wis. He's effective but pretty obnoxious. For me, he replaced Aloth as the primary caster and I didn't have any problem tolerating him, but I'm pretty good at tolerating anticharismatic characters who think they're funny. I loved the idea of the connection with the Grieving Mother, but I would have liked it better if she wasn't a glorified midwife. I hate babies and I couldn't bring myself to care, so I left her at home after her quest. So while the companions didn't overly impress me, I had to choose Kana as the one I liked least. I don't like his portrait, his story, his attitude, his voice, his hat, his family, his race; Pretty much none of it. That said, for me, the biggest annoyance on the part of companions was the bloody companion quests that just wouldn't end (Durance, Sagani, Hiravias). I like to be able to finish side quests in a timely fashion, not drag them along for three bloody acts. Especially with characters that I don't want to take with me in the first place.
  9. As one of the last things in the game, I decided I was gonna try finding all the available pets, but these things appear to be rather elusive, especially with all the misleading info in the game guide. Since there are quite a few threads on the matter of finding various pets, I figured it might be a good idea to make a new list with the actual locations in the latest version of the game. Ones I've managed to find: Tiny Obsidian Wurm - Received automatically at the start of a new game by backers. Miniature Giant Space Piglet - Received automatically at the start by those who preordered. Black Hound - Upper floor of the Black Hound Inn in Gilded Vale. Black Cat - Osryaa's lab in the dungeon of Raedric's Hold. Tiny White Wurm - Hatchery on level 2 of Endless Paths of Od Nua (stronghold dungeon). Yellow Lab - Sold by Bishop in Goose and Fox inn in Copperlane district. Calico Cat - Sold by Cortugo in front of Vailian Trading Company in Ondra's Gift. Beagle Dog - Sold by Cortugo in front of Vailian Trading Company in Ondra's Gift. Black and White Cat - Shoved into a chest in Valtas Manor in Heritage Hill. Piglet - Received as a quest reward from Rumbald in Dyrford Village. Tiny Animat - Found in a locked room in Cliaban Rilag Ruins. Orange Tabby Cat - Received when walking past Pumpkin the Khwarg (backer) in Hearthsong. Tiny Beetle - Received from Alarhi in Hearthsong as part of the Hard Bargain task. Ones I haven't been able to find: Tiny Spider - Supposedly in the stronghold, but it's not in any room, container, or vendor. Terrier - Supposed to be with Gordy. It's not there or anywhere else in Copperlane for that matter. Tiny Sporeling - Allegedly at Iswld in the Golden Grove (Elm's Reach). Not there or at merchant. Has anyone been able to locate the last three? Are they actually in the game. The files do exist so... I love collecting useless crap in RPGs. Since there are no cursed items, pets are the next best thing.
  10. Most quests have several ways of completing them, but you do miss some of them if you're dismissive or just plain Stupid Evil. Even so, there is more than enough XP in the game to hit the cap and you generally get more loot by playing an arse.
  11. Is there any way to view (and potentially modify) game variables? I thought there would have been a set of console commands like in good ol' IE, but I haven't found anything to that effect. I guess the data is located inside MobileObjects.save when you save the game, but while I have been able to find the variable names, I don't know how to read their values. Tried looking at the hex values, but without understanding the structure of the encrypted data, it proved rather fruitless. Any help or insight would be appreciated.
  12. If you choose to attack Wirtan via the conversation option at the end of the Buried Secrets quest in Gilded Vale, the game removes the Priest Remains from your Stash as though you had given them to him, preventing you from handing them over to the Magistrate. It's possible to work around this problem by manually attacking Wirtan and then taking the remains to the Magistrate, but then you kinda miss his confession. It's not a huge issue, but the conversation actions should be reviewed for a future patch.
