  1. As observed in this video, when Crystal Eater spiders are walking, their second leg from the front clips through the floor on flat geometry. Expected Result: Animation could be tweaked so that it doesn't
  2. That sounds like a theory, rather than something you actually did? edit: actually in this build, Fog of War is a bit broken, so you can actually do that if the enemies don't chase (and most don't in this build)
  3. When moving at certain angles, there's a glitch in the animation. The issue is not present on the Male Dwarf.
  4. It also doesn't look like it's just units either, they seem to always go left when they hit an edge of the navmesh as well.
  5. Expert Mode basically turns off several graphics and game options that are enabled by default and locks them off, on top of that it disables a bunch of other helper and UI features. It's probably what I would describe as BG1 mode, except with virtually no feedback at all, from anything.
  6. For the record, Sock also encountered it in this thread: He included a description of what he did
  7. Nah man the first time I saw it, the IE mod for v435 was not even made. I forgot I was testing in the modified dll, so I'll go swap it over and keep trying. It's been 9 days since it first happened though, so chances are slim. The corrupt level lines are there on both versions. They first started appearing during v392. Not sure what causes them, but they're not related to this one (or the IE mod).
  8. Earlier in the beta I reported an issue where the combat log wasn't displaying enough lines. It would be much better if the combat log saved all of the lines from either when you entered the area, or from the beginning of your last combat encounter (at worst). Would it be possible to make it save more lines consistent with either one of these, or somewhere in between? Currently you only have enough room for about 1/3 to 1/2 of an encounter's worth of pasted lines.
  9. I finally reproduced this bug, but I'm not really sure what causes it: All I did was fight Medreth's group, and send a character to loot a specific body, and then inspected the Brigandine Armor. When the item description popped up, the Loot UI was parially overlapping the item description page. This time I saved my output_log.txt file after I exited the game. edit: The last time this happened I think I loaded a save and it persisted through the save, but this time I exited to the main menu, and that appeared to fix it. output_log.zip
  10. Possible Options Menu Sound Bug UI elements overlap fade to black when exiting Character Creation/Level Up Screens Units prefer moving left if shortest path obstructed by a unit? Afflictions overlap portraits and class resource display Save/Load after CharGen or combat gives 15+ FPS gain THAT ITEM DESCRIPTION BUG I WAS TALKING ABOUT- FIXED INTERNALLY
  11. I was very surprised when Afflictions were moved next to the character portrait under the premise of "because we can fit more afflictions". The above the portrait display I think was able to fit at least 10 status icons. Here is what happens when you obtain 7 or more on the same party member in v435: The 7th status icon (and others, when you get more) clip into the next party member's portrait. So it turns out that (at least currently) it does not support more status icons than the previous setup. You could disable more icons showing up once six status effects are reached. You could also widen the space between the portraits to accomodate an extra row, and allow 12 maximum before no more status icons are displayed, or you could go back to the old display. Oh yeah, also the 6th status icon overlaps with class resources - Chanter Chants, Cipher Focus, Monk Wounds and Ranger Animal Companion
  12. This video demonstrates the BB Fighter moving a short distance. The shortest path would be a straight line between the two points, except that on that particular angle he is coming from, the width of his selection circle is partially blocked by another unit, meaning he would have to path around that unit to get to his destination. The shortest path taking into account the unit blocking the way is to the right, and then a straight line to his destination. However the BB Fighter (and every other unit) always seems(?) to prefer pathing to the left if the shortest path is blocked by another unit. Going left is often the long way around, as is the case here - as left means that he has to path around multiple units just to even get to his location. Expected result: Units should always take the first shortest path available to their location, whether it is to the right, or left.
  13. Expert Mode actually sucks though. I was really interested in using it but a lot of the UI things it does are horrible.
  14. Congrats, you've possibly found the only build in the game where the Hunting Bow is useful
  15. This could be partially the cause as to why the Backer Beta isn't running as well as the first few versions did. When I open the game, start a new game and make a character, I get ~60 FPS when I load the Dyrford Village area. After fighting Medreth's group I also have the same frame rate. In this video, saving and loading the game actually INCREASES my FPS by ~15. I'm guessing there's some left over update methods or something running from character creation or combat that are turned off when exiting to the main menu? In the earlier beta versions, I used to get a pretty stable 80-90 FPS in the Dyrford.
  16. Nooo Muh immersion If you do implement it, can it be made an option because I don't really like area loot, even if it is easier.
  17. Nope. Haven't seen that bug since it was reported fixed. @Adam Brennecke. I think he loaded an old save and tried to use it in this version. Perhaps when he was playing it a while ago, he got the disappearing BB Dwarf Fighter and got angry about it. I believe the screenshot in that article is from the bug report thread about it.
  18. Vulnerable Attack actually goes really well with Two Weapon Style and fast weapons. At least versus human enemies wearing armor. Using Stilettos, you get 8 DT bypass. That brings graze damage up to around 7 (good for a graze in v435) and hits between 13-16 damage each. It's a fairly consistent damage output, and can be used (technically) on any class. I tried it with a Fighter just then actually, and it worked well. It was also good on the Barbarian and Rogue.
  19. Yeah Wildstrikes are all terrible as well.
