The version on youtube set to music is a lot funnier.

Is it any good ? Noticed it earlier but it took waaaay too long to download the ME3 demo and PSN kept timing out.
-
I just played the ME3 demo as well, same sort of impression. On visuals FFXIII-2 blows it out of the water. Even though FFXIII-2 is basically the same combat engine as FFXIII it still feels more distinct and different than ME3 and ME2. The faults go beyond just "glitchy demo" so I doubt anything is going to be addressed in the 2-3 weeks till release. And having played R3 , some little unknown kid getting blown up really not going to work on me.

After playing the demo I'm underwhelmed. I'm fairly sure that the whole "action" choice has reduced the number of choices in the game to keep things flowing as non interactive cutscenes. The gameplay is still there, but it's pretty much the same as in ME2 branching powers are probably just there to make it look like they did something new. Anyone manage to get the 30% ammo increase power to work? Because nothing changes when I choose it. Found it quite hard as an infiltrator , probably because cloak is pretty useless without a sniper rifle. Engineer breezed it, between a turret and bot he could have just sat there and watched. Unlike after playing the ME2 demo (which I played to death despite the non skippable intro) after this one I'm left with a feeling of not caring. If not for wanting to see how things end, I could just as easily get the same game just by replaying ME2. I think once the hype wears off this will be

Oh, I see. So being a "crazy AI" would be totally logical for AI. How organocentric of you. Well I am more or less organic so it's not really a suprise. I once visited a car factory before it was operational. Hundreds of robots were "making" cars only their were no parts. These robots carried on making something that never existied because that is what the program was telling them to do. As long as they had power, they would have continued to do so until they eventually broke down. If they had some sort of self repair mechanism then they would do it for ever even though it would be a completely crazy and pointless task. That's the way I see the Reapers, they are repeating this cycle over and over adding to their number each time but as far as the story goes there does not seem to be any purpose behind it other than just to do it.

When will the racism end. From the AI's point of view it's probably quite logical. Just like from a human point of view (for the majority) eating meat is logical, but you can bet if the meat could do something about being eaten they would.

Well if you take ME2's Reaper baby (T-800) then a Reaper would be a synthetic shell pumped full of organic goo processed from the civilisation being reaped. Then some sort of "ship" super structure is built around that. This is also backed up by the derelict Reaper having a core that caused the ship to cease to function when destroyed. It was probably some doomed planets idea of a space ark until the AI went loopy or some such liquidated the populous and carried on the cycle indefinately adding more Reapers each time. Crazy AI is the only explanation I can see that makes sense.

After the missing auto attack debacale in DA2 I'm not taking Biowares word for anything regarding the game until I see it for myself.

Bioware/EA's latest anti-piracy attempt that fails and just annoys legitimate users ? Just a guess I would not pay the costs to be a PC gamer just to play the half finished crap that they call games. It's advertsised on PSN but they hav'nt done the weekly update yet. How does MP work it says MP 1-4 does everyone get a Shepard ,or do you the other players play the part of the squad ? Or is it an add on to the game nothing to do with the campaign at all ?

http://en.wikipedia..../Origin_Systems http://en.wikipedia....estwood_Studios http://en.wikipedia....andemic_Studios http://en.wikipedia....rog_Productions Some people do not forgive or forget. Don't see anything in the future that would cause dislike. On topic will wait a few months and get this cheap, not worth taking the risk of it not working. Shame doesn't sound half bad. I don't really care about that stuff. My stance is based purely on my experience of other games from EA. It's why I don't pre-order anything they publish and always buy it somewhere it's easy to return. Thus far though , nothing but good things to say about KOA

You never quite know what he will come out with because of the paraphrasing. Must be tough being Shepard.
-
It would be foolish not to learn from past experiences.
-
What does EA has to to with it though? They don't even own the IP, let alone the studio. It's got their logo on it and I'm wary of stuff published by EA.

Arcade adventure meets sandbox RPG. It's a blend I personally like , but people used to more "hands off" RPGs rather than direct input might struggle or be put off. So far I can't find anything wrong with it that would not come down to personal taste. After DA2 I had fairly low expectations for anything from EA but this has exceeded them by a wide margin.

Like the comic they put in the PS3 version of ME2?

I must be underleveled I've come across a lot of orange stuff (like Ettins and Trolls). Nothing red yet , though I have not made the the grand journey to the North to the sea. I probably need to do some of those side quests (I've just been collecting them and fast travel points). I'm only around level 14/15 but I've been lucky and come across some sorcery boost items. So far my take on the skills. Alchemy is godly its fairly straightforward to work out the base recipes and there is a potion for each skill in case you need a boost. Lockpicking don't need any points as long as you have a delicate touch you can feel it out (and picks are cheap). Dispelling is a pain but the wards wont kill from full health and alchemy sorts out any ill effects. Detect Hidden 1 point is essential I think the other depends on the build although being able to see lore stones etc would be nice it's a big point investment. Blacksmith - I'm a mage so I never took this, I'd really like some input on this one Persuade - usual stuff better rewards/alternate solutions Sagecraft - Depends on what you find with slots. Epic gems look rather fun but I'm not at that level yet. Merchantile- I've got over 100k and no real need/desire to buy anything so I can't see the point of this one Stealth - not much use in my build I may have missed a couple, but thats my take on the ones I can remember.

I think it's fairly obvious they went for a more mainstream approach with ME2. In the end it's not about standards it's about selling as many units as you can (especially true under EA's flag). Only the best/luckiest games can do both. FIFA for example is much improved over what it was, but while sports games seem to be getting more involved everything else seems to go the other way.

It's not exactly orginal, it's based along the lines of Irish mythology. It's nicely done though and aside from Folklore I don't think it's been touched on in a game. Please let us know if you can actually go to those levels without getting slaughtered, because I feel like if I were to go to one of those areas, and then come back and finish another area, the area will just be a piece of cake. I'm on hard difficulty right now and feel that the game is a little on the easy side as of right now, but I know I'm only at level 15 or so, so I'm sure it'll ramp up soon enough. Outside of a few fixed encounters it's not really hard. The scripted stuff is a bit harder but the general area stuff you can pretty much go where you like. There are "doors" stopping you going beyond certain points. If you come back to early areas things will be grey but still attack, that's a pain if you are looking for a stone you missed. I've killed tons of orange things, but I still don't have the kill something X levels above you trophy, so there may be some "red" stuff out there, but nothing I've come across yet. The Fea are based on Irish mythology. There are even some references to the Mabinogi in the game. I find the plot quite interesting It kind of reminds me of a fantasy version of a time travel plot.

I love Mr Average McCrewcut, immersion really goes out the window for me when they try to make dramatic character backstories. I still remember that I almost didn't play Dead Island because I made the mistake of reading the sob stories of an excuse that were the character description. But I soldiered on nicknamed the game "Drama Island" for the first few hours until I didn't care that my ex-alcoholic, born again Christian, ex-football player character was chugging down whiskey bottles like water. If there is one thing that is likely to make you fall off the wagon it's an island full of zombies. I agree in principle though, the less fleshed out they make things, the more room you have to add your own elements. Not really sure if that applied to ME , the whole "elite" Shepard goes out of the window when you try to snipe something like he's in withdrawal. It's a bit of a stretch to see someone who is less competent than me who would never be an elite sniper qualify as a SPECTRE.

It shares the same "flaws" as every other sandbox game I've ever played. There is so much to do that you can quite litteraly lose the plot as you get caught up in side quests. Mobs are colour coded like in a MMO so far I've not come across something I can't kill and I've done a fair bit of off the beaten track wandering. I do wish that grey things would not attack though, that's a bit irritating (only happens when you back track to find stones etc). I've filled in most of the north area of the map, and the SW upto where it changes colour. I'm currently in Webwood (wish I'd have gone there first because the house stash would have made life easier). It's a bit of a chaotic path, but does have the advantage of now I can fast travel easily to almost any quest point. What about builds ? Mine is primarily a fire mage with a summoned pet. I do have bolt for back up but it's no where near as effective so I have a weakness vs fire resistant (luckily I've not come across anything that is outright immune yet.. That would really ruin my day).

Standing right next to them and shooting off enhanced heartseaking shot can cut through bosses in seconds. As long as buff/debuff appropriately you can even one shot some of them.
-
Thats kind of your fault for shooting your load (of powers) at the first sign of exitement.
-
Is that the Arc the Lad that was on PSN a couple of weeks ago?
-
Global cooldown is part of that streamlining thing. Makes the game very simple and straightforward.
-
No I was watching the leaked demo. Because the demo I mentioned had similiar faults to the ME3 one but the full game turned out to be much improved.
