  1. Finished Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift in ~38 hours, although I could see myself spending a lot more time on it. Overall, a much more satisfying game than its predecessor.

Going through the old Fallout games now to prep me for the FO:NV Ultimate Edition.

How many quests did you complete? I'm playing FFTA2 right now. Played for 31 hours and have only done about 20% of the missions.

I completed 187 quests. I would have done a lot more but I started getting bored/tired towards the end. Decided to just finish the game instead.

  3. Now reading Walden by Thoreau. Not for nothing is it one of the most influential works of all time.

I visited Walden a few years back. Very beautiful place.

I'm reading through Stephen Ambrose's Band of Brothers. So far, it's exactly the same as the show.

  4. Just saw the finale for Boardwalk Empire. Wow. Can't wait to see what they have in store for Season 3.

That ending, although expected still made my skin crawl. Shame though I really liked that character.

He was one of my favorite characters in Season 1, although less so in Season 2. He really won me over in the last few episodes though, especially with those flashbacks. I'm interested in seeing how Richard will react.

    This was actually pretty funny.

Oh man. Makes me want to watch the first two again.

  5. Wow. A South Park RPG isn't really what I expected.

I guess all we can do is wait and see until January rolls around. The GameInformer journalists that previewed it have said that they love it and can't wait to see how everyone else will react once the game is seen in action. So...fingers crossed.

Why wait for January? If I understood the initial announcement, the issue is out next week.

Uh..yep. You're right. Was thinking that the issue wouldn't be out until January.

On Twitter? Do you have a link?

I do indeed. The entire conversation is here. Andrew Reiner is an editor for GameInformer.

  7. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 on Hard.

Not very fond of the story, but I am enjoying the gameplay. I can see myself spending 100+ hours with this game. I'm now addicted to create items so I can get new skills. Playing around with different classes is also fun.

Yep, it's a pity about the story. I wish they would return to the darker feel of the first Tactics game.

I'm playing Fallout Tactics although I wish the game had deeper combat mechanics like Jagged Alliance. Fallout game with JA combat...if only.

  9. 6 was my first and still hold it as the best one, 9 after that. 7 and 8 were probably my least favorites at least until XII and XIII.

Was 8 (or VIII or whatever) the one that had a demo PC version? I remember trying one of them and besides the instant turnoff that was the horrible control scheme, it had this emo kid with all attitude and no redeeming qualities that you wanted to put over your knee?

Aren't most FF protagonists like that? :)

I've only played 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and all the Tactics games. 6 was great as well. The first time I played through it, I left Shadow on the Floating continent to die. I didn't know you could sit there and wait for him. :skeptical:
