  1. Quite the contrast. I've finished 52 games so far.
  2. I told myself: whatever you do, don't aim for 100% monster compendium. I am now trying to catch every familiar...
  3. Fenixp: The Witcher 3 combat is decent at best. The Soulds games, Dragon's Dogma and Kingdoms of Amalur, all do combat better. It doesn't mean that I dislike TW3. It just means that for me, the combat could have been first person, isometric or turn-based and it would not ruin the game for me.
  4. I don't mind role playing games doing new things or some of them using action gameply. It's just that The Witcher 2/3 should not be used as good examples for combat.
  5. Arcanum from Obsidian doesn't feel likely at all as Activision Blizzard owns the IP.
  6. Dear God NOOOOOOO! I have no qualms with an Arcanum sequel/reboot/reimagining being first person, even with action-oriented combat, but keep it as far away from anything Bethesda as possible. Yeah, CryEngine or UE4, please.
  7. Took a break from all the jrpgs and played God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Kratos is an evil d**k. Nothing out of the ordinary for him, though. It's really impressive graphically for being a PSP game. I'm surprised my system doesn't explode in my face.
  8. Real-time combat happened because of the publisher. In my opinion, they showed us they could do turn-based combat in Temple of Elemental Evil.
  9. rpgcodex interview with Leonard Boyarsky http://www.rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=10425
  10. Advice: Try to find someone who can proofread your store page. It is very important that the language used is spot on. From the description of the game, it sounds a bit unfocused. Fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk... I marked this as not interested when it popped up in my queue a couple of days ago.
  11. I have an annoying cold. Played video games all day long.
  12. Tried Tom Clancy's End War. It wasn't my cup of tea. Tried Datura. It wasn't my cup of tea. Played more Ni No Kuni and having fun. I'm probably nearing the end. Beat a boss that could have very well been the last one, but I will play along and smack more baddies in the head.
  13. Been playing on my cousin's laptop and on my brother's Steam account. Tried Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer and I sucked as expected. Might continue my BGII playthrough as I have everything on my external HDD. I sent in my desktop for repairs, today.
  14. They have another game that has yet to be announced, it seems.
  15. I'm not surprised something like that would be next. I just thought that it would be an Obsidian game.
  16. You can stealth certain sections, but far from all of it if I remember correctly. I killed everyone and everything.
  17. It's a bit clunky but it was a fun 2D Deus Ex. Payed €18 or something for it and was fairly happy with that.
  18. I had crap salary for all the years I worked here at the school with barely any pay raise. When I went in to negotiate this year, I set a firm sum that I wanted. I told them, if you don't give me this, there's another school willing to have me. I liked the response I got: A firm handshake and a nod. All the previous years, I didn't show any confidence going into these salary negotiations. I do hope things get better for people working with the postal service, though.
  19. I'm thinking of buying Hyper Light Drifter now that they are going to patch in 60 FPS., boss rush and easy mode for PC.
  20. I like 1 in multiplayer but found the singleplayer portion to be some of the most boring thing I have played. It's the opposite in 2. I tried multiplayer for an hour or two. It was all about the singleplayer content.
  21. I'd buy it for the expansions. I already own it on disc, GOG and Steam, so the enhancements would have to be fairly significant.
  22. Yeah, that I understand.
  23. I guess you're right. I'm not super hyped or anything. I just hope whatever it is, that is is good enough for me to buy.
  24. :'( I'm sorry but I don't like Postnord. Posten was better. Working conditions for the employees are also poor if some of my friends are to be believed.
  25. There are both pros and cons with a hybrid. I would be interested in trying one out. Last Nintendo home console I played was the N64. It would obviously not be as powerful as competing consoles, but it's not like Nintendo isn't lagging behind in that department.
