  1. Vuvuzela? Vuvuzela! Vuvuzela!
  2. There's also Dead State and Bastion for PC. Oh, and Risen 2, Sacred 3 and LOTR: War in the North(I think it is PC also.) I don't know when Kingdoms of Amalur releases, 2011 seems right. There is also Darkspore if you count that. In other words: Great year for PC rpgs.
  3. Until we see actual PC footage, no one will know. They keep saying that the PC version plays more or less like the previous game, but they aren't showing us anything from that version.
  4. You got The Witcher 2 is the mail today!? Awesome! I am very happy with the game. I am positively surprised. The cutscenes aren't great, with some graphics popping up a second later here and there. I don't have any big complaints about animations. I had read that they were very bad, but I am ok with them. The introduction is linear, but that is ok, because it teaches you about skills and abilities. The soundtrack is very good and the voices are not so bad. The only audio problem is that dialog sometimes cuts out, but I have subtitles on, so I really don't miss anything, this is a minor annoyance. The game shines in the right area for me: during gameplay. Characters look good overall and the landscape looks really good, but the thing that impresses me the most is the lighting. For a console port, it is magnificent. Foilage in woods look great and overall a very polished graphical experience during gameplay. My biggest complaint would be the camera, it is very fast and I had to lower it to minimum, and it still feels super quick. If you get motion sickness easy(i don't), then this will be a problem for you. The battle system is fun, decided to do a fighter/mage hybrid. I haven't been fighting a lot, I didn't like archery very much, but I keep an extra bow just in case. Melee feels good, especially when you land a counter and I chose magic so I could mess around with spell combos. I also do a lot of sneaking. It feels good taking out guys from the back. I haven't really started to play around with the weapon customizing, I want to focus on good armor first and then offense. Glad I picked up all those books in the beginning, they sell for a nice price. I have not had any troubles in battle so far, in fact, I would even call it easy at this point. cant't wait to find a monster that kills me in one shot. One of my favorite parts in exploration rpgs. I remember this happening in Risen, heard a sound, went to check it out, kill with one blow by an ashbeast. The game actually reminds me a little bit about Risen, and that is not a bad thing as I loved that game. The game started off good, and I hope it keeps on delivering.
  5. "Pre-order trailer" Contains old+new footage. We already know it looks great, now let's hope gamplay and story delivers.
  6. How I would love to write that I am playing TW2 because I got it in the mail today... But I won't be able to play for a few hours. *upends a table*
  7. Gran Turismo 5. Graphics are a mixed bag(very good looking most of the time), loading times are sometimes very long even with the game installed, and the gameplay(feeling of cars hasn't changed drastically. Still it was worth the wait. I usually do not play racing games, in fact Gran Turismo is the one of few racing series I have played, and I am liking it very much. Slightly better than Forza Motorsport 3, but that is just my opinion.
  8. Didn't a patch get released? I thought one was out.
  9. I'm calling bullshot. I would too, but I have seen the game in motion and it looks great.
  10. I know just as much about this game as I do about Dragon Age 2, which is a Q1 release. I know more about Diablo 3 than I do about Dragon Age 2, and it doesn't even have a firm release date. Knowledge doesn't really have much to do with it.
  11. Are these screens old?
  12. I don't know really. It is all speculation at this point. But considering we haven't seen very much from the game I daresay the game is a Q3-Q4 2011 title. Again, this is wild speculation from me.
  13. Is it ok to steal a game from a gamestore? Let us say you decide to visit your local gamestore, but you have no money and the game you have wanted to play is finally available for sale. Would it be ok to grab the game and exit the store without paying? Piracy is the same thing, only difference is that you don't steal a physical object. I used to download games illegally, and I do regret it. It was a crime. Period. I stole something that people worked very hard on. I didn't regret it back then, but I do now. I love gaming and it is my hobby, but if I can't afford the game, that doesn't give me the right to steal it. I had a tough economical period in my life (after stopping my piracy), so I cut down my gaming for a year or two. My situation is much better now and I can afford buying new games. I have also picked up a few games from the last couple of years that I could not afford back then. I also don't have to buy every game I want on day one, price drops are fast nowadays if you take your time and do a little research. Then we have the import option. Not everyone has this option, but some do. I have bought 50+ games this year for the cost of 30 games thanks to importing from the UK. This also includes getting cheaper Microsoft Points for XBLA. So I guess what I want to say is that there are options, and whatever excuses you come up with is imo invalid. What if you worked on something for 40+ hours a week and then people started to illegally get a copy of your product. You wouldn't be hapoy, would you?
  14. Got a message From the retailer that I pre-ordered Tw2 from. Will get the game this week. Shifting between Baldur's Gate II, Fallout: New Vegas and Two Worlds II will be crazy fun.
  15. Not really, he meant the version they showed was pre-alpha. Yet, this was the same demo that journalists saw in August. Furthermore a build shown to the public is usually a tested older one. So, we can assume they are quite a bit further with the game. Ofcourse they are. It isn't a big deal for me, because I have already decided to buy the game. But I really do not think they will be releasing the game in March. I don't mind if they prove me wrong.
  16. Baldur's Gate II Complete. I want to play New Vegas, but my PS3 is acting strangely. I'll come back to it later.
  17. When I posted some questions that Alvin Nelson responded to, he said the game was in pre-alpha, so a March release seems unlikely. I'm thinking August-November would be most likely.
  18. You guys are making me really excited! I was expecting what you described; dungeons, exploration and lots of monster slaying. Sorophx and Virumor, very interesting impressions, thank you for sharing. Another questiion. How useful is magic and is it fun to use?
  19. Internet messdd up and I somehow managed to doublepost.
  20. Both Isabela and Aveline have a poor design imo. Varric looks ok. (I'm talking about the art, not in-game). Nothing looks good in-game so far.
  21. New Code.
  22. I Was going to make a new thread for this, but didn't know if it was approprate. Fallout: New Vegas for
  23. At this point, they shouldn't be. Besides, the games comes out two months after eachother. Enough time to play both.
  24. From what I have heard the game plays better with a gamepad.
  25. The game was in pre-alpha at NYCC, maybe it as in alpha stage now?
