  1. Is that one of the pre-order extras?
  2. Irrational on Rumored X-COM Revival: 'Don't Believe Everything You Read'
  3. The PC demo is also out.
  4. I just chose a random one. I'm not really a fan. You're welcome to find a better one.
  5. A hard line is always preferable for gaming, I don't know why anyone would choose to do it over wi-fi if there is a choice.
  6. She was modeled after Yvonne Strahovski.
  7. Maybe I don't want to idendify myself with some character, maybe I just wanna be myself? It's all in your mind. The only game that is FP and where you are as close to "just yourself" as I can think of is Half-Life. You're pretty much always playing a character. Since when can an actual person see himself from behind? Some compromises must be made. I guess over-the-shoulder view eliminates the "seeing behind you" problem.
  8. You'd need that because you're not supposed to be a floating camera but an actual person. Also newer games don't allow you to see around corners with the 3rd person camera.
  9. Its integral to the gameplay that you can see your character in GoW-like 3PS games. And when it comes to something RPG-ish like Mass Effect Id say its essential, you want to be able to look at all your cool armor and stuff. First person view is inferior in most cases anyway. I mean you don't even have peripheral vision in FPSs. Spacial awareness FTW!
  10. Good one!
  11. I doubt you'll be seeing any squad-based FPS/whatevers any time soon. The third person cover-based shooter is the thing at the moment and until someone makes the next big thing, we're stuck with it. Also, at least shooting dudes from behind cover is somewhat more realistic than a running gunfight where you have a ton of health.
  12. The whole real time thing doesn't help much with tactics either.

One more episode to go, and it's more of an epilogue, anyway.
  14. I thought charging into the enemies was what went for tactics in ME2.
  15. And another hapless victim falls into the online streaming video comments trap. The rule is that whenever there is online streaming video you DO NOT look at the comments, EVER.
  16. Yes to the last question. RPG gameplay doesn't show very well and most people have already seen/played the first game. If I was marketing this game, I would not be showing clips of gameplay for trailers either. Also, it's not like they're hiding the gameplay, you can see all the gameplay you want here.
  17. I believe the correct phrase would be "Do not want!".
  18. I like how the defining feature of "the assassin", "the savage" and "the loyalist" is that they all shoot guns. I don't like that recent movement of Bioware to use actors/celebrities for their ingame characters. It cheapens the experience, and feels kinda forced from EA. Sure, real voice actors would be much better, but if you have to go the actors route, at least they got good and affordable ones instead of just Liam Neeson.
  19. This is just... retarded. I mean Bethesda level of retardation. Makes Wrex looks like Aristotle. Why do bioware's attempts to do "badass", "dark", "gritty" end up so juvenile? The Bethesadization has begun. "This is a video game? That's crazy!". Geez, this gets dumber and dumber.... At least the voice cast is pretty cool. Not everyone can get Seth Green for their game.
  20. It's pretty much just one old dude in Southern Australia.
  21. Call of Pripyat, as in Stalker 3. More like Stalker 1.3
  22. I wonder how they implemented wall-crawling this time around. It's an awesome idea, but it was pretty clunky and confusing in AvP2.
  23. That is the worst edited trailer ever, all it did for me was give me a headache. Still looking forward to the game, but that trailer was just a bunch of light flashes with some blood in between.
  24. Day 1!
