  1. Yeah they can be expensive
  2. I'll tell you something Malc. Do you know in all my years of being on the Internet I have never ever reported anyone, even when I am really offended by there comments
  3. So basically you will in your underwear, drinking alcohol and watching porn on the Internet. Good plan KP, that gets my approval I don't really watch porn, was thinking about a real girl. Okay, an escort is always a good idea
  4. Just cardio. Cycling, rowing and running
  5. People whinging about the fact we are whinging about Oby again ?

  7. You shouldn't lose even one bit of your endurance or strength during or after a 7-day break, as long as you haven't been abusing your body with loads of alcohol and junk food. Endurance and strength loss starts at 1+ month of not doing any of your exercises, and its a slooooow process. In fact, some people get stronger and better when de-laoding for two weeks. (I don't though) Interesting post and it makes sense, but I did miss gym for 18 days, not 7 days But you also right about my diet. I didn't drink that much and we ate relatively healthily considering I was on holiday. So I had yoghurt for breakfast several times and sushi for dinner twice..and obviously the constant walking in London would have helped But I see what you are saying about the 1 month rule, good to know, But now I'm back I will be on a very strict gym routine. I plan to go 6 times a week for the next month. I normally go 4-6 times a week
  8. But his personality is more complicated that that , he doesn't make posts that I find truly offensive..just annoying with there lack of substance. There is always a sliver of truth to what he says or rather he makes his points in a way that could be feasible. So you'll notice he will say something like " Americans show there weakness by not engaging with ISIS directly, Americans only brave when fly high in plane ( I know my Oby talk isn't accurate, its just an example ) Now his comment is not true because its ignoring the obvious logistical and political issues with boots on the ground but you know there are plenty of people on these forums who don't like America and believe in conspiracy theories so this type of comment resonates with them. So I feel he treads a fine and intentional line around the forum rules, he knows what he can't say and his constant justification of his views is always supported by links from RT or other websites that lack real credibility...which he is also aware of that he cant be penalized by the Mods for because he "is just discussing what another website said " So I don't envy the Mods because I would hate to have to judge what of his posts are really a breach of forum rules
  9. Gang Related, its really good. Its about a crack gang task force in LA that brings down organised crime. But one of the task force members is actually working with the main Latino gang that they are trying to break-up. And this cop is also the main hero in the series so you can imagine the emotional dynamics and stress involved. Highly recommended
  10. If what oby wants is to be called a timewasting bigoted incompetent then oby has got even more problems than I originally suspected. I have no idea what motivates Oby or what his forum objectives are , he may really be Russian? But its pointless trying to have a real debate with him because he doesn't respect the principle of debating etiquette. So if you try to engage with him on a serious level you will just end up getting annoyed...and for what? There are loads of other people who enjoy having mature debates on these forums. And this is not the same thing as someone agreeing with you or a person "winning" a debate. For me its just about the exchange of different perspectives
  11. This is really good news, I hope the initial reviews are positive.
  12. If that was a valid reason to not include Romance we would never see Romance in any RPG , because the definition of "in-depth " is very subjective. So imagine if Obsidians criteria around whether they should include Romance was based on non-Romance interaction being "in-depth"...who would decide this? Obsidian themselves? The fans? Maybe the funders of PoE but the point being you would never get consensus Obsidian should make the decision. I pledged for Obsidian to make a game, not the RPG fan community/backers. I agree, that is what makes the most sense. Of course they take fan feedback into consideration but they need to be the ultimate decision makers on what to include That's cool and all, but why have you chosen to ignore the actual point of my post and respond only to the throwaway example? The point of that post was about opportunity cost and limited resources and Obsidian having to make choices (that's my answer BTW. Obsidian should ultimately wield an iron fist and make all the choices) about where to spend their available resources, and the problem with a poll is that some people will, as demonstrated within this topic, answer the poll question as if resources are no issue, whereas some will assume that if resources are diverted to romances, they'd have to cut out an entire race or something. Like elves. On second thoughts, I'm OK with this trade off. I apologize, the reason I ignored your other points is the "resources" comes up all the time. My view on this is its a red herring around why we can't implement Romance. What I mean by that is almost all of us have no idea what is the financial impact or timeline logistics to implement something like Romance, in fact we also don't know this about any feature really, and that's understandable because unless you have designed a game like BG2 or are experienced modder how would you know ? I believe and understand Obsidians reasons for not implementing Romance. But end of the day I prefer to dwell in world of facts and statistics so if you say "Romance is a resource drain that could be used for other things " my next question would be something similar to " so give me a detailed breakdown of what is the cost of resource x or resource y and the timelines to implement it "....and I know you can't possibly have this information. Which was why I ignored those points from you earlier
  13. I went back to gym today after not going for 18 days, I was in London for the last 10 days and I had a break for a week. I do an hour of cardio and I thought I would be horribly unfit but I found my cardio went surprisingly well, I was able to everything I normally do except for running at the same speed on the treadmill. But that's understandable One reason for my unexpected fitness I assume was the fact we did loads of walking in London, we went for at least 3 x 10-14 km walks. But I never thought walking was a good cardio workout because its not very physically strenuous?
  14. Leaving aside your slightly pathetic attempts to sound foreign by leaving out prepositions, I have to ask if you have ever actually met any kurds. Or is this more meandering racism at work? Don't take the bait Walsie, this is what Oby wants
  15. Am I the only one who finds this type of perspective hard to believe? The lack of effectiveness to implement proper immigration reform or control is really about the Democrats staying in power? Ok lets look at it this way. Suppose the right agrees to complete and total amnesty with full residency rights for all illegals living and working in the US right now with the following caveat: They will not be allowed to vote. Do you think the left would support that? No, because that is all this is about. The rest is just window dressing. Good question, and I don't know the answer to that? I suppose the argument would be if you say someone is a citizen in your country then its a basic human right to be allowed to vote in any Democracy. So the argument from any Democrat would be based around that logic?
  16. I don't think Agiel is seriously suggesting the USA should send ground troops to fight ISIS. He is just saying one of the reasons they don't is not because they are scared to face ISIS. An aerial bombardment just makes more strategic sense for a number of reasons Welll oorah thumping aside they probably should confront them with troops. Best way of solving the problem. Well other than arming the Kurds and others and then hoping they don't take those guns on some other adventure. But the USA aren't in a position to just send in ground troops, there are major political and logistical concerns that have to be addressed first. And the airstrike was used to prevent the massacre of the Yazidis which would have happened in a day or 2. So even though ground troops may make more sense the airstrike was the quickest option to slowdown ISIS
  17. Its not really an RPG but the Call of Juarez are good games set in the Wild West, I played Bound in Blood and it was fun

  19. It *looks* cool, but I am pretty sure it wouldn't be anything like how I'd imagine it right now. I am getting kind of a Trapped Dead vibe too, and that game was really bad. A Wild West RPG would be awesome. Sadly there isn't any around, except for maybe Fallout and New Vegas. Red Dead Redemption? I haven't played it because it never came to PC but I heard its excellent?
  20. The fans? Maybe the funders of PoE but the point being you would never get consensus So realistically Obsidian needs to decide and if that's the case then it makes no difference if we feel that we should have more in-depth normal party interaction before Romance because Romance will just be a feature they include as normal party relationships, albeit optional
  21. Honestly, I don't bother reading 90 % of what he says. There is no point as his comments are just such uninformed propaganda
  22. Quo Est Demonstrandum (sp?), colonialist rule is better than democracy Semi serious, semi joking. I admire your optimism Bruce, but I don't always share it. My money is on Entropy who always win out in the end. Yeah, I'm not suggestion that Colonialism was better in any than the new governments in Africa that followed, you can't really make that comparison because the governmental systems are so different. But I am reading a really informative book at the moment called the State of Africa by Martin Meredith which clearly articulates how many of the new governments in Africa in the 1960's basically rejected the institutions of Democracy and the principles of economics and tried to follow there own, basically dictatorial processes, methods to sustain and grow there own economies. And this lead to an utter collapse of there countries on all levels that included political, social and financial So just to reiterate, liberal democracies do work and are able to transform and uplift a country positively
  23. While it may not be their initial thought when choosing one way or the other, do you want to tell me those illegal immigrants once given american passports will vote for the republicans? Well I wouldn't expect anyone to vote for the Republicans so I'm not the right person to ask that question to
  24. This proves nothing aside from the fact that Orbán is an insane asswipe. Which was already widely known by everyone living in Hungary, thank you very much. Glad you commented on this, I find it hard to believe that the majority of Hungarian think Putin offers the way to economic salvation
  25. I also thought BG2 was the superior game compared to the others in your list. But it wasn't just the Romance that made it that way for me, it was the story and events that unfolded But can I make a suggestion, its good to see someone who wants Romance but go to the beginning of this thread and read all the suggestions around Romance implementations. I know this thread is long but there are some really good ideas about the way forward around Romance in RPG. Then you will understand why people have an issue with "Bioware romance "
