  1. That looks really good and Im hoping they finish this game, Im excited because I was starting to think this game would be vaporware And one positive already it looks like there are hot women in it which means woke influence isnt dictating the artistic and aesthetic direction of the game . That will be a nice change
  2. I hear you but I think there are a couple of considerations, firstly I disagree that the interviews that Daniil Orain does arent relevant to the overall views of Russians in general and how things are in Russia In fact I would argue they are one of the most effective and revealing ways to understand the psyche of normal Russians and there views on the state and the war, he interviews literally hundreds of normal citizens in different parts of the country and asks them questions on a range of topics. And he also doesn't just focus on big cities like Moscow which is relatively removed from the consequence of the war I consider the responses to be often more insightful than anything we get from most outsider sources of media or opinion pieces and Im not dismissing all outsider sources that often we post that are relevant and accurate. Im saying the lived experiences and views of Russians still in Russia are relevant But I do agree what the Russian education system is trying to do is egregious and very worrying for the future of Russia and how they will view and understand the war. But many Russians dont trust the state anyway, for example they only achieved a 55% vaccination rate which is one of the lowest in Europe And this was despite the fact the Russian state was saying " take the jab, Sputnik good ". The Russians arent like the Chinese who generally dont question anything that the CCP tells them So in summary I dont think creating revisionist history from grades 10-12 is fundamentally going to change the cynicism or lack of trust many Russians feel about the direction the country is going. That doesn't mean anti-war laws wont be enforced and Russian citizens will publicly criticize the war and Putin himself Thats a given but thats an outcome of the draconian laws around the autocracy that Putin has created. But that doesnt mean thats what all Russians believe. There is a difference
  3. Not really, in Russia there is not restricted Internet access as far as I know. And if you watch any of the videos from the likes of Daniil Oriian you will see lots of Russians he interviews who comment on the numerous questions and they respond generally in 3 ways based on the fact "anti-war " sentiment can mean jail time they support the state and everything the Russian propaganda says they dont want to comment but you can see they would be critical of Putin and many of the developments like the draft and the reason for the state of the Russian economy they openly critical of the war and the reason for the failures and consequences of the war And the last 2 respondents often talk about how people must " stop only watching Russia media " and " reference international news sources" The point being if a person in Russia wants to know the truth about the invasion and the state of the war they can still use the Internet and this is confirmed by Russians on Codex. Its not like China or NK, yet, where they have effective Internet control and do control the reality of available information
  4. Silly Russian educators, the Internet exists and you not going to stop people who have a vested interest in the truth about the invasion
  5. It sounds like you need to play a reliable and consistent game that wont disappoint, what about Skyrim AE? It has 500 mods included in the game so you dont need to install any mods
  6. I was watching an interesting interview on CNN with Christina Amanpour, she is in Kiev at the moment, and one of Zelensky's former military advisors, Andriy Zagorodnyuk, and she asked him a whole lot of standard questions and the reality of drones came into the debate And he was saying the usage of drones is going to change warfare irrevocably or at least add another new permanent element and armies have to be agile and have to " modernize " there strategies in this type of war. He used several examples of there effectiveness and made a comparison how a single drone can destroy a tank worth millions or damage a ship So drones are definitely a tool of future warfare at least for those countries that have the resources to use them
  7. Oh Im not specifically but I sometimes read the Vatniks comments on Codex and they post videos and " evidence " of Leopards being destroyed And there is lots of Russian memes and fake news about the reality how many Leopards have been destroyed
  8. https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2023/08/28/in-13-weeks-ukraine-has-lost-just-five-of-its-71-leopard-2-tanks/?sh=9e1c1ca185b1 Interesting link, only 5 Leopards have actually been destroyed. If you read most of the Russian and Vatnik propaganda they will tell you hundreds have been annihilated
  9. There is no going back friend once you see the advantages of meaningful mods , the vicarious thrill of Loverslab awaits you
  10. Remind me again why you are opposed to using mods? I know you have mentioned it before and I think it was about how you feel the vanilla game should deliver and be perfectly functional without adding 3rd party components?
  11. There has been lots of updates around Dreadwolf which is the next game they will release
  12. Retrenchments are never nice to see but sometimes they are absolutely necessary to ensure a company can survive and be profitable I just hope Bioware can create new games, thats the most important thing for me
  13. Im leaving for a work trip on Wednesday for a week so I wont start Fallout 1 until I get back but I decided to kickoff the KA1 Druids DLC and its really good Its the same mechanics as KA1 but with additional features, I set my victory goals as conquering all provinces and having to include 10 knights Im still getting use to no Magic Shield from KA2 and I keep waiting for my initial spells to get blocked But I definitely prefer KA1 design and mechanics, its harder but more rewarding
  14. It does look good, I came across it several times when I was searching for " King Arthur RPG " I will definitely add it my list of next games. How did you find it compared to KA Wargame, I realize they different but Im still interested? What score out of 100 would you give it?
  15. Good question, I dont think I am going to play the KA1 DLC because I have completed both main games now and I am happy with the amount of time I spent playing an RTS. I have that gaming rule where I select different types of genres every 2-3 games so I dont become bored And Im seriously considering Fallout 1, I have never played it. And that brings me to the next part of my post. I was doing some research around recommended mods for FO1 and I came across this link which shocked me @Lexx this is going to upset you but someone out there is copying your name and even your avatar picture. Its outrageous and you should sue or at the very least protest !!! https://www.nma-fallout.com/threads/fallout-et-tu-release-v1-8.218045/
  16. I completed King Arthur Wargame 2 after 50 hours, I was surprised how much shorter the overall narrative was compared to KA1. I mentioned previously in KA2 they changed certain mechanics and I dont think some of them made the game better but things like artifact crafting is fun and useful and then you can train more units like monsters which adds variety to overall battles and your strategies KA2 gets a 60/100 on the " BruceVC game rating system" and in summary its not as good as KA1 but its still worth playing if you enjoy RTS and RPG hybrids
  17. True but I doubt Trump understood why he appointed certain people to the SC, he was advised by well informed Conservatives who he should nominate The real understanding of the political and ideological views of that type of candidate is not Trumps strong point
  18. Seriously, Putin has killed and assassinated political dissenters and Oligarchs for years. There is a long list. If Putin didnt authorize it then he isnt in control of the military or the FSB and I find that hard to believe. The sustainability of any autocracy requires control of the military and particularly around extra-judiciary killings if they practised by the state. If you look at NK or China nothing happens in those countries if the state isnt aware of it I am not saying its a missile or a bomb, Im saying Putin is behind it. Who else would have the ability or resources to do that within Russia?
  19. Im about 30 hours into KA2 and its fun. They changed several of the mechanics from KA1 and I dont necessarily think they all create a better overall gaming experience but they not terrible changes The economic system is dumbed down and simpler and there is now a magic shield that you need to consider in every battle but I am now comfortable with that. And I am enjoying the lore and overall changes to the RPG elements around how your knights go on quests Also they added artifact crafting which is a good idea But its a good sequel, I will comment further once I have completed it
  20. Why who specifically did you use to respect that since the war started you dont respect anymore? Im sorry to hear that, its terrible to be disappointed by people we admire and respect I accept commentators or institutions can make mistakes so Im more forgiving. But I dont support them if they make constant mistakes or push propaganda and I dont take state controlled media houses as seriously as private media houses in certain reporting
  21. Im not surprised at all, if its true his time on this earth was always numbered Not that it bothers me in the slightest, Wagner is responsible for some of the worst cases of brutality in Ukraine
  22. Yes during the Cold War we witnessed surreptitious regime change from all sides, Im not sure since then how much regime the US has secretly been involved in? But I am not talking about that, Im talking about the last 10-15 years in numerous places where there has been rejection of an autocracy or citizens unhappy with certain draconian developments and they protest then you have a group of people who are anti-US\anti-Western and suggest that the reason why people want leadership change is because the US\CIA is telling them or responsible for the protests. And often the governments themselves who face these protests claim the US is behind it as a form of cope and a way to handwave the legitimate grievances . And several examples come to mind that include the Arab Spring : allegations that the US was behind the widespread protests Iran hijab protests Zimbabwe protests Ukraine and the 2013 protests Venezuela with many citizens wanting a new political system And that doesnt mean the US\West doesn't support the idea of leadership change in many cases but they not the main reason citizens want to see a change
  23. Post the link when you can, it sounds interesting? Vatniks on Codex will argue that the US was responsible for the "coup " in 2013 and it wasnt what the people of Ukraine wanted because it was the imperialist US and CIA that was behind the 2013 protests They will conveniently ignore the agency of the Ukrainians as if they cant possibly decide for themselves and how the majority of Ukrainians want to align with the EU and West and not be part of the Russian orbit
  24. I dont know, give me a couple of drinks...some good music...some good laughs...who can say how things will progress
  25. Here is a really good video about what ordinary Russians think about the question " are we winning the war ". No Russian media propaganda or Vatnik grandstanding made by people living in Western, Capitalist countries with no skin in the game I like the guy that makes these videos, Daniil Orain, because he gets feedback from people on the streets in Russia
