I notice how you pointed out that the judge was a Bush appointee. That is not supposed to matter. As Gromnir put it earlier, a judge is a judge first. If they law is not applied equally then there is no law. Can imagine the shots that would be made if he were an Obama appointee, maybe just getting ahead of that. Some people really think that factors in, I have noticed. You 100 % right, I never thought about that but imagine the vituperative public outcry he would have received if he was an Obama appointee

http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/2016/12/09/Trump-Says-Unemployment-Rate-Bogus-and-His-Labor-Pick-Puzder-Agrees This is confusing, Trump has always disputed the unemployment numbers But now Trump is fine to accept those numbers ? What has changed in the last 3 months or so http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/03/news/economy/january-jobs-report/

Guys this is huge news and a very interesting development, a federal judge has temporarily halted the Muslim travel ban "Federal Judge James Robart, a George W. Bush appointee who presides in Washington state, temporarily stopped the order" http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38864253 http://edition.cnn.com/2017/02/03/politics/federal-judge-temporarily-halts-trump-travel-ban-nationwide-ag-says/

So far Im happy with a good deal of the foreign policy decisions and comments from the Trump presidency Reaffirming support for South Korea and Japan around belligerence from North Korea http://edition.cnn.com/2017/02/02/politics/us-defense-secretary-mattis-south-korea-trip/index.html Continued support for NATO http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/live-coverage-james-mattis-defense-secretary-hearings https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/27/theresa-may-white-house-visit-donald-trump-nato Real criticism of Putin and Russian unacceptable interference in Ukraine ( this made me laugh...poor Putin thinking Trump would drop US sanctions on Russia because of Ukraine ) https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/feb/03/un-envoy-nikki-haley-criticises-russian-aggression-in-ukraine Correctly rebuked Israel for the increased settlement building http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/03/trump-to-israel-settlements-may-not-help-achieve-peace-in-middle-east.html

Yes. Ask how well that turned out for them. Probably as well as other euro zone countries beside Germany - badly. But that wasn't the point. well, I am kinda against EU but I could not deny that economy of eastern EU states grows quite fast as opposed of these outside of it... That is correct but you dont to make posts based on economic data that is true, you would rather just make uninformed and sweeping statements like " the EU hasnt worked out well for any country except for Germany " ...much easier to spread the populist and " down with EU " sentiment Greece and Spain would like to chat about the "growth" in the EU. And I wasn't talking about EU I was talking abour Euro Zone (Euro currency). But you would need to be informed to know the difference. But if being informed is a requirement to make comments what are you doing making posts? And the PIGS countries are undergoing austerity, this is necessary and to be expected considering how they mismanaged their economies until 2008, you should research this a little so you are clear on what austerity means....and I strongly recommend you dont use Breitbart for this research

Actually Obama was less critical of Israel, with the exception of the last resolution, than previous Republican presidents. So its inaccurate to suggest Obama belittled Netanyahu for 8 years https://theintercept.com/2016/12/30/barack-obama-wasnt-nearly-as-tough-on-israel-as-republican-presidents/

Did he just call the whole Mexican army pussies and casually threatened the Mexican President with war in consecutive sentences? Does he realize he's not at WrestleMania anymore? I hadn't been putting much stock on the warnings about this clown and the nucular option, but how long now before he starts ranting about glass parking lots. I mean, he hasn't even been at the helm for two full weeks. This was clarified later, the USA has no intention to invade Mexico Also he is referring to the Drug Cartels and yes they are a law unto themselves, very powerful and the Mexican army is unable to defeat them for a number of reasons https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Drug_War

I went to a really good private school, my teachers were hard-working, understanding and erudite. They were always prepared to spend extra time with us if required, I received an excellent education and Im grateful for that as it helped in later life in various ways

Smuggled in from the US, maybe? We need a wall with Canada. Actually I have seen an interview on Sky where a Trump spokesmen mentioned a wall with Canada is a good idea. His overall argument was that the USA has many borders that are a security risk and Mexico is just one of them
-
Its not inconsistent because Trump made many campaign promises, some of them he has already indicated he wont pursue but others he has to implement or his supporters will see him as a hypocrite Campaign promises like the Wall and the banning of Muslims from certain countries are very controversial for many people and they will draw understandable criticism
-
The ones who don't agree with you you mean. WOD !!! Stop being cheeky.... I dont expect people to agree with me, I am not right all the time and Im surprised you would think this? I am only right 95-98 % of the time

It shouldn't even be a debate if extremist groups like ISIS get supporters from some Sunni Muslims from the countries that have been banned, Iran is the exception to this as its Shia and ISIS support would be rare, if evident at all, from there It surprises me that anyone who wants to have a real debate around this would suggest there is no justification for these restrictions especially considering the fact these governments have no way to ensure vetting for their citizens who fly to the USA For example Somalia is the homeland of Al-Shabaab https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shabaab_(militant_group) In Yemen you have al-qaeda in Yemen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qaeda_insurgency_in_Yemen I can give many examples for all other countries on list but I think the point is made
-
Can I be honest with you guys in the USA, I would be much concerned about the large numbers of adults in the USA who reject certain social, economic and political realities and instead embrace the world of alternative facts and post-truth
-
Implementing the order on Friday can also be seen as strategic, this allows certain events to occur with less scrutiny I am sure the architects and real strategists behind this were well aware this would be challenged legally and socially by numerous groups but its very important to Trump to deliver on certain campaign promises. But this also creates its own degrees of issues so the best way to do this would be to do it on a day with the less amount of initial scrutiny, hence the Friday choice because even if he waited till Monday the same objections would be raised So under the circumstances I would argue the implementation is going as expected
-
For me I have always been fine with the list of countries, Iran is the only inconsistency on some levels The 7 countries have valid reasons for being scrutinized so its not relevant IMO if Trump or Obama created the list I would be supportive
-
I have been watching all this outrage and horror around how the Muslims in these 7 countries have " been treated " by the USA on various news channels both local and international The various comments generally highlight for me the inconsistencies and unintentional hypocrisy. I can guarantee you 90% of the total people commenting have no idea about the reality or social conditions in countries like Yemen, Sudan or Somalia. They are not aware of daily atrocities or hardships many local Muslims suffer under.....and in most cases its Muslims making other Muslims suffer So despite the fact people could comment and express horror at the reality of the 25 year failed state of Somalia its much more socially acceptable to comment how terrible the US is for making Somalis wait at USA airports. You see this is about the human psyche, we feel better about the reality of Somali refugees if we can focus on blaming the USA and not having to address the core problem which exists in the actual country of Somalia
-
Most white people have evolved in a societal way, attacking and killing Muslims because some extremist killed other people would normally be seen as counterintuitive We simply bide our time and pass laws later to legally discriminate against the entire Muslim community so they hopefully leave and return home
-
Malc I am unclear on what you mean?
-
I would say its not the example of human rights but the other things are true?
-
volo I hope you are aware you are one of the people who is responsible for this phenomena of fake news and alternative facts, think of how you make posts and say things that are complete exaggeration or just your misplaced views. And you seem unconcerned about how preposterous it may sound. The good news is I am completely unaffected by fake news as my sources are scanned as credible. And you do make valid points as well Its not such a terrible thing as it will pass in 12-18 months ?

No Bennie, you have made an attempt to understand the ME and as usual I respect that but this time I am going to correct you because I dont want you thinking that Islam isnt the problem Of course it is, that is exactly the problem because the Islamic world is basically going through a crisis of identity ...they need to recognize and address extremism within there communities. There is no other solution Also the Arab Spring was caused exactly because of the lack of allocation of resources due to this view that families and dictators had been ruling most of the countries in a form of divine right and they refused to be inclusive The entire ME is one cauldron of historical resentment and outdated ideologies. They have no respect for human rights and in most countries its the death penalty for homosexuality Its much easier for you to tell me what exactly is positive at the moment in the ME?
