Sure but if you watch the video its honest and critical, I dont consider it effective Russian propaganda because she is making assumptions about what are the reality of sanctions around things like food in supermarkets. There isnt food and agriculture sanctions on Russia so why would any supermarket not have food or EU food choices. This is just one example During Apartheid we had sanctions for decades but we always had food on the shelves in supermarkets and we werent getting unrestricted economic trade from the likes of China. We traded with Western countries around some things but there were definitely some things we couldnt get. But South Africa became very independant around productivity. And they justified it outside of the enforcement of flawed Apartheid laws due to the real threat of Communism and the reality of the Cold War, we became a smaller version of the Russian "war economy " reality within Russia. The Apartheid government ran the country for decades under sanctions but its not sustainable and sanctions had a slow but real economic impact But I dont think she is FSB because the whole video is too simplistic and obviously the views of a young person who is clearly not political but is well meaning. Like I mentioned in a previous post when she said " I thought how can people survive without FB or Youtube " , my best comment in the whole video. She is so cute

Great video, thanks for posting. I watched the whole video but Gorthfuscious she is DEFINITELY an FSB agent and Im surprised you would post such outrageous propaganda Im joking obviously, she is not a FSB agent . I think she is exactly what she says she is and the whole video is a well meaning video from a young person about her life in Russia and she objectively discusses what she thinks matters and what is important since sanctions after the invasion of Ukraine And I believe everything she says But the real criticism towards Russia is the politics and the reality of freedom in Russia under Putins autocracy. Its not about SM hyperbole around " no food on supermarkets" or " I cant access FB anymore " and its interesting at the end where she says "I always wondered how people in China could survive without FB or Youtube " like that really is a big deal, " OMG I cant access FB anymore " But she is your average young person and thats a big deal to them and she means well But going back to the real issues within Russia, she openly admits politics doesn't concern her and thats expected unless you support the authoritarian reality of Russia. How would she feel if she was member of the LGBT community? We have just had an election in SA as you know and the belief that people have in free and fair elections was the winner, it doesnt matter who wins because its the will of the people through the ballet box that is the most important thing We had weeks of opposition parties campaigning, townhall meetings, candidates coming onto talk shows and news networks and openly and freely criticizing the ANC and its policies with both fair and unfair comments. Our state owned media station provided the same platform because we allow and encourage those basic political freedoms and that matters to me and always will None of that exists in Russia, there is no free media and no real criticism allowed of the state or its policies and they dont have free and fair elections And thats not a concern to many people in Russia because there is nothing they can do about it like this young lady which is why she specifically mentions her video is not about politics So her is video is honest and truthful but what she talks about is not the real criticism I have towards Putin or his system of government. Its what his interpretation and implementation of a government means And I will always believe governments must support basic freedoms like human rights, freedom of speech and leadership change being determined through free and fair elections But if you ignore this you can absolutely be happy in Russia or have a normal life like she explained in the video

Yes normally they are for mod purists but Steam offers financial incentives so it create a reality where some people are considered "sell-outs " because they list only on Steam But I find almost all my mods exist on Steam and Nexus or smaller mod sites that are still active like moddb.com https://www.moddb.com/

Yes if you take games like BG1&2 there is a recommended order and by not following that order you can crash the game or create problems and that happened to me For this type of game there is mod order document you need to use which is categorized into mod types like "all NPCs at the end " So yes thats true but I include that in the 4-5 hours of prepping that I mentioned around watching videos Its 4-5 hours of inclusive research. But end of the day Steam Workshop does generally work but always read the specific comments from members around each Steam mod because they will normally say "install this mod manually " or " dont use Steam automatic install for this mod " I also think you dont install lots of mods so automatic mod installation will be fine for you But imagine installing the 2000 Nolvus mods manually

Onion is also brilliant -
Voting is over, I have never seen such lines and participation in an election and its a sign of the belief in people wanting to see political change and have there voice heard I ended up voting at 8:40pm and I still waited 40 minutes. You can join the line up to 9pm but not after that Whatever the outcome is this is entire election is an example of the belief that most South Africans have in the principle and foundation of Democracy which is about the right to vote in a free and fair election and for citizens to influence leadership change through the ballot box This is something that doesnt exist in countries like Russia and it never existed in South Africa until 1994 and the right to vote freely should never be taken for granted

More hilarious parody from Babylon Bee, I still dont understand why people on this forum dont consider them one of the funniest satire websites on the Internet -
Kanie I know you not a big mod user but its best to get into the habit of manually installing mods, unless its a few mods. I have found that once you understand how mods change a game then its always more or less the same process for each game . I found mod managers are good and save time but if something goes fundamentally wrong its hard to troubleshoot it and this applies to using more than 30 mods or so This excludes Bethesda games where mod managers like Mod Organizer2 have excellent troubleshooting tools And obviously this approach wouldnt apply to large mod collections like Nolvus for Skyrim which includes over 2000 mods because the creators of mod collections normally test them and its recommended to use a mod manager for them like Vortex https://www.nolvus.net/ But games like BG3, always try to install them manually. I know its more work but its better around overall stability. I literally watch videos around " how to install mods for game x" to learn how the process works and it takes about 2-3 hours to understand the steps in manually installing them for each game I know Steam Workshop is convenient but it can unintentionally create problems

Under what charges? I realize you dont understand most of this type of selective "outrage " but the ICC doesnt have jurisdiction have any country that isn't a signatory of the Rome Statute So its not about Africa or Russia because it doesn't have jurisdiction over crimes within Russia -
Kanie you do realize if you ask most active gamers " what are your 10 top favorite games of all time " they are mostly older games You dont need an updated machine to experience real gaming satisfaction. You dont think you have been fooled and manipulated by the " evil, Western, Capitalist " system into an unnecessary upgrade

True and I often quote AFP I have mentioned this before but Im at a point now where I dont assume any SM political news is true. It may be true but I dont assume it until confirmed SM has a legitimate purpose for certain news, Megan Thee Stallion new hot outfit or a celebrity chefs new restaurant are things I believe on SM. But I get annoyed with myself when I end up believing a SM political\war update and then I tend to respond. Thats why I generally wait for confirmation or do my own quick research

https://www.france24.com/en/europe/20240527-kyiv-says-talks-on-france-sending-military-instructors-to-ukraine-are-ongoing @Malcador It looks like that Tweet isnt even true, I must learn to stop falling for SM " news " ...I generally dont respond but I sometimes do

Military instructors is not the same as troops being deployed. There are US advisors and trainers in certain African and ME countries, like Green Berets, and thats not the same as the US deploying its military to these specific regions We will know when any country decides to deploy its military to Ukraine because they will have to announce it domestically or they will face serious political criticism if and when body bags come home And I think it matters we dont feed the exaggerated Russian propaganda that " Russia is fighting NATO\US" in Ukraine Russia is fighting Ukraine with military aid from the NATO\US Thats not the same as any NATO country deploying its military personnel to Ukraine

It shouldnt be a major hurdle, just include attractive women as Romance options and you will be ahead of Larian in the Romance competition Josephine from DA:I is a good example of this. We just asking for real inclusive Romance and not selective inclusivity and that means also catering for straight men

https://www.eisa.org/sa-2024-election-brief-one-of-deposits-and-signatures-what-unrepresented-political-parties-need-to-qualify-for-the-ballot/ Our national election is on Wednesday, we have over 100 political parties who are submitting candidates. Its a ridiculous number of political parties and its a waste of votes and political campaigning resources but we a new Democracy so most South Africans still need to understand that " less is better " when it comes to available political parties and voting choices. We should only have 5-7 political parties at the national level What is significant about this election is there is a very good chance the ANC will get less than 50% of the national vote, I predict they will get 40-45%, for the first time in the last 30 years So they will need a coalition party to govern the country and that is where it gets interesting, who will the ANC choose and what will they have to compromise on if anything at all? End of the day not much is going to change after this election because until we see a new political party running the country, like my party the DA, our main structural government problems, economic problems and lack of governance and accountability on the national level are going to continue But as I mentioned this election is still significant because the ANC will more than likely lose its majority for the first time in 30 years A bigger concern for me is the emergence and strength of radical left parties that espouse socialist nationalization policies like the EFF and the new MK party But Wednesday is going to be an exciting voting day around final outcomes

Yes and this is normal criticism of her stance and thats fine But Im not talking about that, Im talking about how she was criticized around " how can a black person not agree with opinion x" as if all black people must have views based on an assumption of identity politics being the reason any of us should have an opinion I utterly reject that, for example I dont have an opinion on things because other white people have that same opinion. Thats often true but that has nothing to do with why I have that view -

My issue is more how she gets criticized, in South Africa the normal "anti-colonialism\anti-Capitalism " crowd were outraged because " she is black, HOW can a black person not agree with opinion X " So they assume all black people must have a certain opinion on specific political or geopolitical events. She is not allowed to have a different opinion because its assumed her race defines her judgements Its incredibly condescending and patronizing -
Nah, I dont believe anything Putin says or we hear what he apparently says I will believe it when I see Russia doing it Putin can go public anytime and say " we pausing the war to talk peace "

Do you consider yourself a chatty person in RL? Do you enjoy chatting to strangers in supermarket lines or striking up a conversation with someone on a plane Im generally very chatty. I talk all the time if people want to engage and most of the time they do but I can read signs if someone doesnt want to chat and thats fine, I find women are generally much friendlier with random conversation Its funny because on planes I have occasions where someone has said " sorry Im not being rude but I dont want to talk " and I say something like " no problem, I completely understand. I prefer people being honest and not feeling obliged to have a conversation on a flight " and they say " yes, I can tell you like to talk which is why Im telling you " And thats perfectly fine, especially on a plane. You have every right to not engage in random conversation if you dont want to
