  1. So I'm playing a monk, and one of their bread and butter abilities, Swift Strikes boosts speed of attack. Does this boost stack with that granted by Pallegina's Vielo Vidorio? Many thanks, prototype00
  2. Have been playing around with this build with a Moon Godlike. Doing great so far! Couple more questions: I get the impression that Pallegina might be more useful than Eder (with Tidefall eventually) with this character tanking with his face? Early game CC is about this characters only weakness, anything I can do to help that? What skills are the best? Right now I am just rushing survival. Thanks!
  3. Noted. Thanks for the replies, everyone. While story stuff might be a minor concern next to KILL EVERYTHING, it is nice to take into consideration for a completionist playthrough.
  4. Query: Love the build and might start a playthroughs with it. However, is it not worth the cost to be more leader-y? (Ie, have slightly higher Resolve, possibly perception?)
  5. Ah excellent, I had three sources of move speed increase! (resting, boots and armor) With them gone, Hiravais is really booking it now! (Comparatively, he moves fast enough to kill two more foes per combat).
  6. Hey Jerek, taking a trip over from Rpg.net? Hiravais is really easy to build as Spiritshift DPS killer. Just pick wild strike and greater wild strike shock, two weapon fighting, weapon focus peasant and Outlanders Fury. Then most combats just cast Returning Storm and leap into the fray and kill everything. For some reason he moves really slowly in Spiritshape though, I wonder why that is?
  7. So does that mean I want to be helping the Knights of the Crucible in Defiance bay for their faction perk? (And maybe getting 7 points in Survival for DR +2 might be nice too)? I've heard others poo poo these options, but if every little bit of DR helps... prototype00
  8. So intrigued by the possibility of a tanker Cipher I made this build. (Normal, I'm afraid, not feeling like going hardcore yet). Still in the early game but a couple of my thoughts and questions: 1. Early game, before Retaliation items are obtained, is it not better to go double Sabres and play like a rogue? Even single sabre and shield (small) was not generating focus fast enough. 2. I'd kind of like to save my neck slot for something stat boosty, is that a bad idea if I already have the supper plate and the coat of I'll payment? 3. How important is attack speed to this build? With 10 Dex and heavy armour im guessing not very but I thought I'd check. 4. Once retaliation is up how should I be running him in combat? Rush in like a tank? Side engage like a rogue? What Cipher spells should I prioritise? I'm guessing not whispers of treason and paralysis first? (Less Retaliation generation) Thanks for posting the build, look forward to running it in my game !
  9. Hi, I noticed in the 2.0 beta, the Phantom Foes Cipher 2nd level power does not cause enemies in the AoE to become flanked (merely the targeted enemy, actually it wouldn't cast without targeting a specific foe, so perhaps the targeting is wrong?]. It does cause enemies in the AoE to become frightened though. 10. Hmm, thats possibly it. I have re-recruited Aloth a couple of times and it might be re-applying the Spirit of Flame bonus. prototype00
  11. His Might is 13, and I'm on the latest 1.03 Steam version, and I was mistaken, his highest damage dealt was 216!!
  12. He crits for 208! (I only saw that because I looked in his combat log for most single target damage). prototype00
  13. Hi all, I've put Aloth back in my party and he is doing insane damage (100+ per target hit, which is a lot more than the spell description.) with the humble lvl 3 fireball (I am currently lvl 10 and have access to 5th level spells). Anyone else encounter this? prototype00
  14. *Steps carefully to avoid the pit of knives and acrimony* So from what I can gather, if they made the romanceable characters in Eternity have romance arcs like those in Baldur's Gate 2 (and only VOing the first line as in the aforementioned) most people would be happy? (I.e. it wouldn't be trite, wouldn't hamper development, e.t.c.) Well, lets hope Obsidian takes heed then and models it after BG2(it would, after all fall into the category of in the footsteps of previous Infinity Engine games, of which BG2 stands as a giant). Though we probably can allow for a little more interactivity than that, as I recall you couldn't even initiate conversation with your BG2 NPC companions. For my part, I hope romances are included. They've always made me interact and identify with my companions more. prototype00
  15. Well, just think of it as getting an extra digital artbook with extra game information. I certainly do (then again, I got it included in my pack). prototype00
  16. $80, since all the rewards at that tier are digital and there are two copies of the game, I went in with a pal of mine, so basically we're getting $80 worth of stuff for $40 each. prototype00
